Stayed at the Charlesmark from 9/29 to 10/4, based on the great reviews on Tripadvisor.com. We stayed (2 people) in room 501, "Queen" room on the 5th floor facing the street. We brought earplugs due to some of the reviews below, but I never ended up needing them. Even with the construction going on at the Boston Public Library directly across the street, it was not that noisy. The room was small-ish (like a lot of European hotels), but was totally fine. We had plenty of room to put our clothes on the bookshelves, and store our luggage away in the cabinet. Bed was super comfortable, shower was good. The only small qualm I had was that the room needed more lights/lamps. Location of the hotel was GREAT, and the staff at the Charlesmark were all very nice and helpful, too. Breakfast was fine (fresh fruit, oatmeal, coffee, tea, bagels, muffins, donuts), and there are 2 computers in the lounge for guests to use. Housekeeping did a great job of straightening the room everyday, and provided complimentary bottled water in the room each day! I would definitely stay here again.
