Overall the room was OK, but at several times the air coming from the air ducts smelled like someone was blowing tobacco smoke into the room. What happened to NO SMOKING rooms?

I stayed at the Days Hotel ( not a Days Inn) with a group in town for the Head of the Charles. Rooms at this time of year are at a premium, but the $380 we paid was ridiculous per room per night . It was convenient to be able to walk to the race course. That is about the only good thing I can say about this hotel. McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts, Subway and The Breakfast Club nearby. There is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel which was always packed. I think the food there must have been fairly good.
Rooms were old- polyester bedspread, old TV, tiny bathroom with beat up door, ceilings patched up everywhere, stained chair, dirty carpets. Walls were paper thin. Could not sleep because you can hear every toilet flush, every word spoken in rooms next to you. Thermostat does not work well- it was freezing during the day and hot at night.
Staff was to have our breakfast ready Sunday morning early- we checked and double check so our athletes could get down to the race course early. No one in the kitchen until 7:00am. Only continental breakfast on Sunday- not the full buffet we had pre- arranged, so we had to walk down the street to The Breakfast Club.
Not worth the money. If the management would spend money renovating- nicer TV's, reliable big breakfast for race weekend- come on- You're printing money serving a full breakfast, new linens and re-do the bathrooms & carpet , they could have the hotel packed with happy customers every year for the Charles. It is a dump. Go somewhere else.

Back door to hotel is propped open with a mop. No security anywhere.

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking The Charles have a nice view. Ask for a room away from the elevators.

A hotel with nice prices and big rooms. Good wifi but did not work in room- end of the hall third floor- asian restaurant did not really understand what it did there, served only one coffee no breakfast (or if there was any you would not go). Nice location. Friendly reception, adequate parking for free at least. Think about it as just a decent place to sleep.

Room Tip: Decent basic place around Harvard.
