Waaaay overrated for the price. Hectic atmosphere. Waitress was good but that is about the best I can say.

“Good food!!! Went back for the seafood bisque!”

I think this chain provides above average quality & service. The primary thing I liked was that the seafood was exceptionally fresh.

“All Style No Substance”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 15, 2013

We like to stop by the warf for drinks on our way back from picking someone up at the airport - it's about a 5 minute drive and offers a festive outdoor dining atmosphere with harbor views.

This time, on an early Friday evening in June, we went to the 3rd floor bar of Legal Seafoods - which has been getting rave reviews around Boston. We sat outside and the views over the harbor were lovely, but the pounding house music was so insistently loud - more like being in a club than a cocktail bar - that it was difficult to hear the person next to you and this noise was periodically compounded by the roar of the airplanes coming and going from Logan. Not at all the relaxing sophisticated atmosphere we were hoping for.

The wait staff were not rude but distinctly unfriendly and service was slow. So slow that - after waiting 45 minutes for oysters - we cancelled the order asked for our bill and left feeling like we'd ruined a perfectly gorgeous evening by this poor choice. On the upside, the prices are reasonable so at least we didnt pay a fortune for the bad experience.

If you are 21, you'll probably love it but, if you enjoy stylish cocktail bars with good food and service, this is not the place for you.

“Loved it so much we were back after 3 days!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 13, 2013

This restaurant is on three floors with great views and was packed on both occasions.
The seafood IS SO GOOD...... The oysters amazing. You are given a card which explains where the different oysters are from. The staff are knowledgeable and can explain the various types.

The fish and chips were also the best I've tasted in a long time. I love this place and would fly back to Boston from France just to enjoy the ambience and those GREAT oysters again!

This is great seafood at a reasonable price. The lobster was delicious and very fresh. It is a great location on the water.
