“reliable and good quality”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Part of the larger chain restaurants, but high quality and good service. If you want consistency from coast to coast in a steak house, this is it. Bring a lot of $

“Hands down....The Best steakhouse in Boston!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Not only the best steakhouse but the best location as well. The steaks come out piping hot and cooked to perfection. The sides are huge and perfect to share with the table. An amazing wine and cocktail list offered with a very knowledgable staff to help you choose the perfect drink.
If you don't want to eat in the dining room, the bar is always packed! Enjoy the food, drink and social events happening nightly.

“Second Time, Even BETTER!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2012

A second trip that was even BETTER than the first visit. While the first visit was a memorable one, the second one did NOT disappoint in any way. Starting and ending with valet parking at reasonable rates, the service continues to be the BEST around. While the prices are on the high side, you certainly get what you pay for! Everyone who attends to your every need makes the restaurant the BEST, so DO NOT change anything.

As with most of the diners here, I was here for a holiday business dinner. The waterfront location and views are lovely, and the dining room, despite being set for many large parties that night, was comfortable and attractive. Background music was upbeat and fun, but a little on the loud side. Not that it would have been quiet anyway with the crowds there.

My experience started off badly when upon entering the restaurant, my way was blocked by the maitre or manager chatting with a regular guest. No one acknowledged my arrival, and the coat check attendent had to manipulate her way around them to get my coat. We were shown to a nice booth with a view of the water. Despite the obvious expense spent on the room, the menus are cheap tri-fold card stock, clearly worn. The service was fine, but not much better than you would expect at any chain restaurant. Also, while it may be policy to dress the service staff in the shortest, tightest skirts possible, they should at least be clean. Everyone on the staff we intereacted with had dirty aprons and "uniforms" on.

On to the food portion. At classic steakhouse prices, I expect the meat to come out at the ordered temperature. Being told to cut my steak and turn it cut side down on the hot plate to help it to finish cooking is unacceptable. Au gratin potatoes were cafeteria quality, and the cheesecake had the consistency and taste of a block of philly dumped on a graham crust.

I would not return at these prices.

“A good American steak”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2012

We were staying in an hotel near this restaurant and as we walked across the bridge we saw that several people were going inside so decided to give it a try. The decor was very attractive and we were shown to our table promptly. The noise level was high but as there were only the two of us we managed to hear each other, however had there been anyone across the table this would have been impossible. We were handed our menus and then before even having a chance to look at them our loud mouthed waitress was yelling about all the steaks ranging from an 8oz to a 26oz the size of which sounded quite off putting. I thought for the standard of restaurant that Del Friscos is trying to be the waitresses looked awful, skirts too short for many of them and fishnet tights with holes in them. Smarten up.

We did really enjoy our steaks, lovely flavour and beautifully cooked and tender .
