Description: Max Brenner, Chocolate by the Bald Man, the first restaurant entirely devoted to chocolate, provides a "chocolate mood:" a person being surrounded by huge bricks, candles, pralines, colorful toy tins and crates filled with cocoa beans. Each person"s chocolate experience is exclusive to the individual as it brings out different emotions in each and every person. This can be experienced at our retail shop and dining room. In addition to our unique chocolate, we also offer delicious savory foods. Whether it is our famous Brenner Burger or Mac & Cheese, there will be something for everyone in the group!

Brunch on Labor Day 2012. Yum - everything laden with extra sugar, chocolate on the side - we had to jog around the city the whole rest of the day but it was worth it. The plain old hot coffee is outstanding. Hangover omelet had a nice balance of bacon, cheese and veggies. Waffles were dipped in sugar, served with two sauces - white chocolate and strawberry sauce. Frappes also really good.Fun little chocolate shop too where they sometimes offer samples. Very good!

Had breakfast there, not impressed. Very little variety for breakfast - omelet did not have traditional cheese and ham option, and the sausage option was too spicy and tasted like a rubber. Only plain bagels available. I would expect more from the place at Back Bay.

Max Brenners is known for their chocolate and treats - however their entrees are just as good if not better than the chocolate.

Everything here is about presentation.

The food is crafted with delicious sauces, the portions are large and great for sharing, and the service is wonderful.

The inside of the restaurant is wonderful as well - big pipes "pumping" chocolate throughout the restaurant are paired with chic furniture and great lighting for a night out. I loved every dish and their chocolate was phenomenal. But you don't even have to go there for dessert to be impressed.
