“Not exactly it's heyday anymore”
Reviewed February 7, 2013

Downtown Crossing is not what it used to be. It was a premier shopping destination for Bostonians. Macy's is there. TJX, Marshalls, B&B Works, Payless, H&M, Claire's, CVS, jewelers and some other stores and cart vendors but it's by no means what it used to be.

“I don't go there anymore.”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Ever since they closed Washington Street and made it a foot traffic zone, I have found this area to be quite pedestrian, pardon the pun, not really a fun place to shop in my humble opinion. Go to Newbury Street, have fun.

“'Small' Shopping District”
Reviewed December 30, 2012

Having to stay at Langham Hotel, Newbury Street is quite a distance. I found myself ending up at Washington Street (Downtown Crossing) very often to shop, views and enjoying the night life. If you are in town and looking for a simple entertainment, head down to Downtown Crossing. There's more to see.
