“Good, but overrated”
Reviewed July 5, 2011

A nice concept, with small tapas-type dishes to share, but it was hit-and-miss in terms of taste ... The zuchinni carpacio's a winner, the tuna tartar not so much (too much flavouring mixed with the tuna ... Let it shine!).

Also, definitely more of a 'bar' feel than a restaurant, so if you know what you're getting into, perhaps your review would be slightly higher.

Glad we went, but there are likely other great spots to try before we'd go back.

“Not worth the high rating on tripadvisor.”
Reviewed July 3, 2011

Overall, this was a sub-par dining experience that was unexpected because of previous recommendations found on this site. The positives: the atmosphere is warm and the chef made an appearance including a fantastic free small plate that was the hit of the meal (bacon covered dates). The negatives: the server (zack) made us feel like we were imposing on his evening, the food portions were rather small and there wasn't a 'stand-out' item that made us want to return to this restaurant.

“Pretty good food although the place has an identity crisis”
Reviewed June 29, 2011

The food we had here was excellent. All dishes were very good. However the place doesnt know if it is a restaurant or a bar. The bar was quite busy the evening we were there and we found it a bit noisy. Also the menu is designed as sharing plates - like at a tapas bar - but the food isnt tapas and its quality is miles better than bar food.

I would recommend it for an informal meal and a few drinks.

Also the service was excellent. We ordered dessert it was taking some time but they kept us informed and when it actually arrived the chef himself served it explaining that the first desert (it was some sort of cake) broke when they were taking out of the tin and so they had to start again.

“Beginers luck? I think not.”
Reviewed May 20, 2011

It's not often that you visit such a new place and are already planning your next group dinner there. It's got the vibe, the friendly staff, and some unbeatable classics on the menu that must not be missed. For example, what other good looking restaurant will serve a group of 35-year-olds grilled cheese and tomato soup, and have them begging for more? Delicious. Will be returning shortly.

“Great Food! Great Atmosphere! Can't wait to go again!!!”
Reviewed May 17, 2011

8 women out of a Saturday night! The Delicious delectable, scrumptious and yummy Food is served tapas style. We started with the beet salad, (roasted beets, fennel, goat cheese, oranges, candied walnuts, red onion, zest and evoo). Service was great as soon as we finished round one the plates were cleared and onto the Bruschetta and Calamari... followed by the tacos and not just any tacos braised chicken, lobster , grilled steak and cajun Mahi Mahi. Then there were the hand cut fries with truffle oil, parmesan and rosemary followed by the hand rolled meatballs on grilled focaccia with pesto and ricotta cheese. My two hands down favorites were "Devils on Horseback" (dates wrapped in bacon, stuffed with blue cheese and almonds and my favorite new Cocktail the "Sienna" (spiced rum, elderflower liqueur, yuzu juice & fresh basil)! We can't forget to mention the desserts... Meyer Lemon Cheese Cake, profiteroles with caramelized banana, nutella & vanilla bean ice cream and finally chocolate peanut butter molten cake also topped off with vanilla bean ice cream. Outside It was raw and rainy but the atmosphere inside was relaxing, warm and comfy with background music at just the right volume...we ate, drank and talked...loved the huge fireplace! We can't wait to try their brunch! We heard the red velvet pancakes are to die for!!!
