This is a nice little bake shop. They have delicious breakfast treats and coffees. Everyone raves about the hot chocolate here, but just so you know what you are getting, the French hot chocolate is very thick and much like melted chocolate. So you have to really love chocolate to get it.

Coffee, sandwiches and atmosphere all terrific! - the staff were even friendly!! Definitely the best coffee I've had around Boston. I didn't have the sweets but there was an extensive range and all looked delicious! Would highly recommend this cosy, busy cafe to all coffee lovers.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Boston. Right off the Boston Commons, this cozy cafe can get very crowded quickly (so stake out your table FIRST, then get in line for food/drinks). Their desserts are eye-roll-worthy, and they have some good sandwiches – but it's the coffee that sets them apart. Every drink is PERFECT and the baristas take great pride in their foam art.

Historically “Coffee Houses” have always served as a place for social interaction, a place for people to come together to exchange ideas. Coffee was not the only stimulant; the conversations that were taking place were just as stimulating.

From the moment the concept of Thinking Cup was developed we envisioned a restaurant type of atmosphere coupled with a place for people to come together and have social interaction. We wanted to avoid an “Internet Café” scene but instead encourage conversation and just some old fashion newspaper and book reading. Once we opened, this vision was reinforced with the popularity of our first Café at 165 Tremont Street.

We have a responsibility to our many clients to try to offer comfortable seating and an enjoyable relaxing atmosphere. The first step is to try to facilitate reasonable turnover of tables.

Frankly speaking it seems we are the first popular coffee shop in Boston not to offer Wi-Fi and we have had an overwhelming positive response. We never intended to make a statement against “Wi-Fi Users” but this was just merely an unforeseen result.
