“Great oysters and great ambiance!”
Reviewed June 29, 2014

We wen't there in our trip to Boston with some friends and we really liked it! The ambiance is really cool and trendy, the food was great. Asked for the oysters' menu, we had 2 of the Massachussets and Maine options. The wellfleet were really good. I'm a big fan of New England's Clam Chowder so I try it everytime it is in the menu. This was one of the best. Everybody in our party was really pleased with what they've ordered.

Great place to go with friends. Their beer selection is really good too and the staff is very friendly.

“best oysters anywhere!”
Reviewed June 29, 2014 via mobile

went last night around 4:15 and got seated at the bar immediately. bartender was a machine and bar staff was incredible. oysters were perfect. bartender helped us with selecting bigger and briny for me and a few small sweeter ones for my wife. fluke appetizer was crazy good. my wife loved the halibut app too. shrimp cocktail as big as lobster tails were soooooo good we had to order more and the kicker was a smoked trout app that we will order every time we go there if its on the menu! martinis were perfect too! we will be back every sox game or concert!

“Worst restaurant experiences I've had in Boston”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

Went to this restaurant with a couple of colleagues. First of all, the food was unremarkable--the recommended East Coast oysters were sandy and bland and not one person from our party was thrilled about their main dishes. The service was much worse--our food was extremely delayed and they completely forgot our shellfish and served everything after dinner, after reaching out to several servers who did not seem interested in helping us. Boston is not the most foodie town but there are far better restaurants than this place. If you are a tourist interested in seafood, hit up the North End or Seaport instead.

“Delicious seafood, great atmosphere”
Reviewed June 23, 2014

I just moved to the east coast from the midwest so naturally had to experience the fresh seafood over here. After searching the internet for the best seafood in town, this restaurant kept being mentioned as the best, so we went. The food was delicious! We tried oysters for the first time and our server was so helpful to us newbies. The atmosphere in this place is really cool; walking in, it looks like a really fancy place where everybody is dressed up but the lighting is dim so it creates more of a bar feel. It just feels cool. We ordered a little of everything to try out different seafood and everything tasted amazing, so it was worth a higher price tag than I'm used to. I'd definitely recommend this place as a one-time experience (or more times, if you have the money to visit often) if you want good seafood and a great atmosphere.

“Great oysters, great lobster roll, great atmosphere, worth the price, make reservations”
Reviewed June 22, 2014

I've never seen a menu with so many different kinds of oysters. We had one of each of the 10 they offered. They were all good and well shucked. They provide the usual vinegar, cocktail sauce, and horseradish, but they also give you an array of ~5 hot sauces from Tobasco to Cholula.

We also had the lobster roll, which was delicious as were the chips that came with it.

The bread was good, but what set it apart was the special butter.

The clam chowder was a bit salty for our taste, but acceptable. Didn't ruin the excellence of the entire meal.

The atmosphere is really exquisite with its focal point as an entire wall of shells. The decor is modern and elegant, just how I like it.

It is definitely pricey, but it was easily worth it for a nice occasion. You should make reservations if you plan to dine during rush hour. We made a reservation for 5, which seemed fine for a walk-in, but it steadily got busier as the evening went on.
