We are excited about South End Open Market's new location in the South End and believe that the Ink Block neighborhood will provide a bigger and more enjoyable space for vendors and visitors. So many great things are happening in the neighborhood and we are thrilled that the South End Open Market will be in the center of it all every weekend! “Vintage, food trucks and so much more”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

The SOWA market is a great place to go on a Sunday. There are indoor/outdoor vintage stalls selling everything from clothes to furniture. Found a leather messenger bag at a great price! The food trucks range from lobster rolls to Vietnamese food, both times we went had great food from different food trucks. Definitely worth going to the market even if it's just to walk around.

“great outdoor event”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

went mainly for the food trucks which were awesome, not overly crowded, you actually have room to move, some trucks have longer lines than others which is expected, but all the food we tried was awesome, roxy's was there, get the truffle fries, sooo good!! parking wasn't too bad either, was able to find street parking.

“It's Really Sowa Sunday's Now and should be Wow”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 5, 2013

Sowa is the district in the South End that has lots of art galleries. Recently Sowa Farmer's Market has now morphed into something so much more. Yes you can get fresh veggies and free range chicken to take home, but now they have added a whole area for an amazing array of Food Trucks and out door eating places. And...there are galleries to visit, vintage shop for kitsch and just a great place off the beaten path.
So when you're in the South End (on Harrison Ave and Union Park) and you need to slow your busy pace down a notch join us Bostonians for a Sunday tradition.

“A Boston farmer's market, plus lots more!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

The title for this attraction really needs to be "SOWA Market" (SOWA, aka, SOuth WAshington street in Boston, MA) because in addition to the farmer's market, there are unique artisan and vintage/antique outdoor/indoor markets, plus tons of shops, galleries and artist studios to check out -- not to mention an array of food trucks too. If the weather cooperates, SOWA Market is such a fun way to spend a Sunday, especially after having brunch at one of the great South End restaurants nearby. Tip: SOWA Open Studios takes place in mid-September, so visiting the SOWA Marketplace during that time gives you the chance to check out 100+ studios in the buildings that surround the marketplace and on adjacent streets. Parking is on the street, or in the outdoor lot next to the farmer's market, which is surprisingly affordable. It was only $5 the last time I went. Best bet on a beautiful day is to arrive when the markets first open (10 or 11 a.m.) to avoid crowds. If you plan to buy lunch at a food truck, getting in line early (e.g., 11:30 a.m.) also helps.
