Description: Co-Owners Brian Piccini, Executive Chef Christopher Coombs & General Manager/Sommelier Jason Irving are proud of their award winning Restaurant & Bar, Deuxave in the Back Bay. The inspiration behind the restaurant's American Nouveau Cuisine is seasonality, with a focus on working with the finest farms and purveyors, sourcing out the freshest, local ingredients and amplifying their magnificence. The cuisine is strongly rooted in the nouvelle techniques of contemporary French cuisine, married with the splendor of American ingredients in a refined, but casual setting. Deuxave's (pronounced doo-ave) name plays homage to its location at the corners of Commonwealth Ave and Massachusetts Ave.

Outstanding food and service. We walked a mile in a snowstorm to celebrate our 25th anniversary at Deuxave. (No cabs to be had in a snowstorm during rush our traffic!). We arrived cold, tired and wet and were immediately seated at a very romantic location next to a lovely fireplace. Our waiter, Ellie, was great -- attentive without being invasive, knowledgeable of the food and wine, and a charming young man. My husband enjoyed Duck Confit for an appetizer and I would give a 10 star rating to the 9-Hour Onion Soup. For entrees my husband had duck (again) and I enjoyed a wonderful sirloin. Dessert was complimentary in recognition of our anniversary = an amazing chocolate soufflé with a peppermint crème anglaise.

“Christmas dinner”
Reviewed December 25, 2013 via mobile

My wife and I, along with our kids, had a fantastic dinner last night. Our server was very helpful with our dinner selection and the food was fantastic. We loved the duck appetizers and all if our entrees were delicious. We can't wait to go back again!

“Fabulous spot in Boston”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

The atmosphere was fantastic. Extraordinary food and wine yet in a casual elegance. The duck as promised by the waiter was absolutely exceptional. Actually better than duck even in France. The prices were fare for the quality of the food. Fries cooked in duck fat were outrageously sinful!

All the diners at our table enjoyed the service an food with a lovely casual French flair!

Will be an absolute must next time I am in Boston

“Not impressed”
Reviewed December 21, 2013

It's a long way for me to go to this restaurant. However, I wasn't impressed by the food at all. You can't say it is not good but just normal. Service is good and place is clean enough. However, a lot of better choices in Boston. By the way, they open at 5:00pm, don't go too early!

“Loved It”
Reviewed December 16, 2013

We loved our experience and meal at Deuxave. The service, ambience and food were all excellent. We were initially seated at a tiny table in a dark corner with no view of the space at all, but this was immediately rectified when we politely indicated our dissatisfaction. We were immediately given one of the best tables for two in the restaurant.

Everything we ordered was delicious and perfectly cooked/served. This meal for two was the same price as dining at the rather ordinary "Legal Seafood" restaurant chain in Boston…we recommend skipping places like Legal Seafood and going somewhere special and memorable like Deuxave.
