Description: Menton, Chef Barbara Lynch's Fort Point fine dining restaurant, is the final concept to complete her Fort Point trifecta and joins neighbors Sportello and Drink. Located in FP3, the AIA award-winning luxury condominium complex, Menton radiates an understated elegance and offers several beautiful spaces to dine including the 60-seat dining room, a 12-seat Chef's Table, and the 45-seat private dining room. The restaurant, a glamorous expression of fine dining, was designed by Cheryl and Jeffrey Katz of C&J Katz and features a subtle palette of grays with touches of silver and black. The cuisine of Menton displays the talent for precision and visual artistry across two seasonal tasting menus and a la carte selections for dinner daily, and a more casual a la carte menu for lunch Monday - Friday.

“Menton Merveilleux”
Reviewed August 22, 2013

This stunningly good addition to the Barbara Lynch empire is quite simply wonderful. We started with a couple of wonderful cocktails (Italian Greyhound and 118th Occasion). We ordered and thoroughly enjoyed the Chef's 7 course tasting menu along with a bottle of champagne (Billiot Reserve). we did supplement with a small cheese course because the occasion (our anniversary) needed just a touch more decadence :-) What was particularly lovely was that the chef while keeping the main ingredient the same for each course, adjusted the dish for our unique palates (I prefer a more adventuresome style and my wife more traditional).
Having dined all over at some magnificent restaurants, it would be fair and appropriate to say that this made our top 5 (the others in no particular order: Per Se, La Pergola, Jamin and The Dining Room at Little Palm Island) by displacing No.9 Park (sorry).
The service provided by the team led by Michael was exceptional (thanks Lauren and Paul). My only recommendation is for the other servers who dropped the dishes off at the table would be to request that slow down their speech a bit in order to better understand the dish and its construction.
At the conclusion of the dinner, the staff was so very gracious to arrange a trip with seats to Drink for us (will review seperately).
Now, please note that food and service like this comes at a price so if you are not interested in making another mortgage like payment that month, don't go. If you are willing, you won't regret it and remember, you can't take it with you! Consider it a SKI (Spending Kids Inheritance) dinner.
All in all, a memorable time/experience to be treasured.

“one of the best meals”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

Menton is definitely top 5 restaurant in boston, probably the best experience. Wouldn't expect any less from the same chef owner of no. 9 Park restaurant.

“Great palace to go for wonderful food and service.”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Great food and service. Really enjoyed it. They offer a Prix fixe menu or tasting menu. We asked for a la carte since we were not very hungry. They were fine with it. We probably ended up eating more. Ambiance is not over the top but very tastefully done. Every course was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

The tasting menu was fantastic, innovative and delicious. The wine pairing was extensive and equally fantastic. Try the gin-lavender-lemon juice drink before your dinner!

“Sacré bleu!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Location, Southie in the Boston art district. Surroundings, unassuming. Valet $ 18.00, venue, modern decor, per female companion "manly". Ambience, relaxed, many couples. Service, attention to detail, friendly, no stiff upper lip. Menu, 2 choices: 1. Prix fixe, 4 course dinner $95.00 PP (extras not included). 2. Chef's tasting menu $ 145.00 including escargot, fois gras, duck, lobster, rabbit, and other afrench cliches. Wine selection, impressive! My companion and I went for the 4 course menu. Food, Hmmm, let me think, beet salad succulent. Crab cake, awesome. Lamb, apotheosis. Here's the only problem I find! $ 380.00 later I do not feel that the cost benefit ratio was there. If I were at La Serre in Paris or Paul Bocousse I would not mind, but Southie? Donc, je suis désolée mes amis, but you will have to live with 4 stars.
