We stayed in Boston for a few days over the New Years holiday and happened to stumble onto a web site that advertised apartments vs. hotel rooms. After looking at the cost of these apartments I thought we would be able to overlook some of the shortcomings on previous reviews. Wow were we right. Like I said in my title if you are looking for a 5 star property this is not going to be for you, but who expects to get a 5 star experience, especially in DT Boston, for $149 night.
It was so nice to have a full kitchen to cook up some late night snacks, a full dining room to sit down and eat, and a full living room with a flat screen to sit down and relax in.
Location!! The apartment we stayed in was right next to Boston Common and within easy walking distance of all the shopping on Newbury Street. Cheers, which is always a Boston favorite, was just a block away as well. For New Years Eve we had dinner in the Theater District which was an easy walk away and had some amazing bars and restaurants.
Parking was the only tough thing about staying here but if you give yourself a little time you will find some options in the local area such as street parking that is metered, free at night, and free on the weekends.
We are already planning our next trip back to Boston and we will be looking for availability in on of Back Bay Beacons apartments before we look anywhere else. If you are looking for great bars, great shopping, and amazing site seeing this is the place you want to try. If you have any questions they publish their phone number on their website and always pick up after just a ring or two. The people that answer were always polite and friendly and truly cared about the questions you were asking.
