After a long day of sight-seeing, my family of four waited about 45 minutes for a table - which seemed long for a Monday night, but perhaps was not surprising given the reputation of the restaurant and the tourist season that was upon us. We considered giving up, but other well reviewed restaurants in the area had lines at least as long that seemed to be moving more slowly. We certainly were glad we waited it out! From fresh, well seasoned salads to savory sauces on our beautifully prepared chicken entrees and pastas, the food was delicious, as was the chardonnay and cabernet that we ordered. And the prices were quite reasonable. What added to the experience was the efficiency of the service, despite the crowd, and the personal touch of the manager (owner?) who graciously apologized for our wait, and among other things, asked us where we were from and how we enjoyed our meal. He seemed genuinely concerned. Next time we'll book a reservation.

While in Boston we visited the North End for an authentic Italian dinner. After reviewing numerous websites, I determined that Panza seemed to be the best. We got the last available seating for three. The food was delicious. I had butternut squash tortellini which was superb. My wife of Italian descent said it was the best chicken marsala she ever tasted. The wine by the glass was reasonably priced as well the add-on salad. The atmosphere and service providers made you feel like one of the family. Don't miss this restaurant.

We looked at the pre opening lines at the first 5 Yelp picks. It was way to warm to stand for an hour. So we walked around on Hanover St until we saw Panza. We were seated immediately. The bread was some of the best I've ever had, crusty, chewy and soft on the inside. We had the lobster fettuccini and the spaghetti carbonara, both were fantastic and priced very reasonably. They don't serve dessert or coffee as it slows down turnover and there are lots of places on the street
