“The Green Turtle is unique, a fantastic location and a great place to stay.”

My wife and I stayed at the Greenturtle for 2 nights in June (13th and 14th). I wish it had been longer but we couldn't get a longer booking.
In a word this place was fantastic and when we come back to Boston, which we will, we will try and book the Green Turtle first.
The Innkeepers could not do enough for you, from helping with bags, local recommendations and finally the Water Taxi which collected us right at the door and took us across the water to Logan Airport. The accomodation was first class and it is in a very friendly community on the water, breakfast at the door in the morning, what more do you need!

Simply great - many thanks again!

... Just because, there isn't any !

Such a comfortable room, such a kind welcome, such a quiet place, in other words such a level of quality is, fortunately enough, available in other B&B's ... But such a breakfast room (I mean the floating terrace in front of the "house") with a superb view on the Boston skyline ... is really unique !

If you add that you just need to walk about 10 minutes to catch the old- fashioned boat that takes you from Charlestown wharf to Boston historic city center, then you may say that the Green Turtle is THE place to stay.

Just a last advice: pray God, Allah, Buddha (or anyone else...) to get sunshine: it surely adds to the magics.

From the moment we arrived, we knew that we had made the right choice in a vacation venue. Situated in a marina in Boston Harbor close to the North End, but distant enough from downtown Boston so that the lights and sights of the city could be enjoyed without the noise and hassle, the Green Turtle is a one-of-kind place where comfort and the hospitality of the owners were superb. Each morning, we were served a delicious breakfast to start our day. The ten-minute trip into North Station on a free shuttle just up the street made a practical choice for sightseeing. We were able to tour all the sights (including the nearby USS Constitution) and still have time to return and relax on the dock.

Green Turtle is amazing, so amazing its untrue, The location, inn keepers, the suite itself, the breakfasts. Imagine being gently rocked to sleep every night. The best 5 nights ever. Wonderful location, just sitting sipping wine on the deck, no cares in the world, watching the boats go past.

The inn-keepers need to be mentioned, best hosts I ever have come across, plenty of tea provided for us Brits x x

Many thanks for letting us share your treasure!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3 nights. We absolutely loved everything about it. We parked our car in our complimentary spot and were greeted by one of the innkeepers, who carried our luggage in a wheelbarrow. We left our car there the entire time! In addition to the water shuttle and the ferry, there's also a FREE shuttle that picks you up near there and takes you into the North End, if I recall correctly. We also got two-day trolley tickets (if you buy them online, the second day is free) and it picks you up near the USS Constitution. So transportation was no problem. The innkeepers were so friendly and accommodating... they even printed our trolley tickets for us. The room was gorgeous, and like everyone else has said, the bed was so comfortable. Very hard to get out of. Breakfast was yummy every morning... they even asked us what we wanted. If you can, request bacon, egg and cheese croissants- amazing. There are only two rooms here, and we rarely heard the other guests. Two cons- we had to take dramamine the first night and the other was the weather, but we can't blame anyone for these. If it wasn't raining, it was overcast, so we didn't really get to enjoy the lounge chairs. STILL, a fantastic experience. Can't wait to come back.

My fiance and I recently stayed at the Green Turtle B&B for 3 days. We desperately needed a weekend away to our favorite city, also the city where we got engaged 3 months prior to our trip. Before we even arrived, Jon and Karen called to check in with us and see how our drive up was going, and more importantly to offer us free tickets to that night's Phils/Red Sox game at Fenway! We were ecstatic and after arriving and giving us a quick lay of the land, Jon drove us in his car over to the T station to get us to the game on time!

Jon and Karen are incredibly warm and friendly, making us feel comfortable from the minute we arrived. They will do anything to accommodate you - they brought us a wonderful breakfast every morning left outside our room for when we woke up (muffins, croissants, breakfast sandwiches, fruit), and the suite was already stocked with everything we could need for the weekend while on board! (water, OJ, cream/milk, coffee, snacks, granola, yogurt, etc.)

There is a free shuttle and water taxi to get you around the city or to a T stop. It is also a nice walk along the water and bridge to get to the North End as well as North Station T stop. We didn't move our car once, and had a free parking space at the marina during our stay.

What a beautiful place with magical views of the city and harbor. It was so peaceful and romantic sitting right outside the Green Turtle in our lounge chairs on the water, seeing the boats coming in and out in the morning and staring at the lights of the city and sky at night. How incredible! We cannot wait to go back, and think it would be even more fun to go with another couple to take the other suite!

This place is so unique and amazing. Waking up to the gentle rocking of the waves. Enjoying a wonderful breakfast on the pier while watching the boats glide by. The night view of the Boston skyline. It is almost like a beach holiday in a big city.

The rooms have all you need even a snack basket and drinks free of charge...where else do you get that. Similarly parking is all taken care of free of charge. The owners are such nice people who really understand the idea of personalised service. In fact when you are staying at the Green Turtle you almost feel you part of the little community on the pier.

Don't cheat yourself of an experience you will treasure for life...staying at the Green Turtle feels too good to be true. I have thought about our two nights there so many times since returning from the holiday. And I am quite sure we will find an excuse for going back to Boston to just return to the Green Turtle. Happy holidays!!!
