“Perfect Floating Luxury - with a view!”
Reviewed April 22, 2011

Have just returned from an 8 night stay onboard The Green Turtle. Everything that previous reviewers have praised is true. We wanted to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary by doing something different & we certainly found it at he Green Turtle. Jon & Karen are terrific hosts, Karen's Eggs Benedict are to die for as are all the lovely breakfast she provided during our stay.
Nothing was too much trouble - even down to them booking our nightly cab to a different restaurant in the city
The Green Turtle has everything you could wish for & more - we are so glad we didnt book a faceless hotel in the city. many thanks to Tripadvisor, without which we wouldnt' have found this gem. We have vowed to return when the weather is kinder, next June 2012, as we had some very cold wet days last week.
However the warmth and comfort we had on board, as well as the genuine warmth of Jon & Karen's hospitality; meant that a few days of lousy weather could not dampened our enthusiasm for this lovely city & our perfect accommodation.
I only hope that we can make our booking whilst there is availability as many people are rightly discovering this jewel in Boston's crown.

We began our holiday with a two night stay at the green turtle, a brilliant start, truly spoilt us! There are not many places where you can arrive by water taxi from the airport and to be greeted with a warm friendly welcome from Karen and John awaiting our arrival. Our self contained room was immaculately clean ,well equipped and extremely comfortable.
The bed was luxurious and the very gentle rocking motion meant great nights sleep. Delicious breakfast served each morning. With views of Boston across the bay from the pier were stunning.. Our Green Turtle floating bed and breakfast stay is one that we will never forget. Many thanks Karen and John ...we will be back!!!

We had a terrific stay at the Green Turtle. Jon and Karen went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. They took the time to explain local spots and the best ways to get to and from the pier. The accommodations were warn, inviting and spotless. The bed was super-comfy and breakfast was awesome. Our time at the Green Turtle was the perfect mini-vacation - just what we needed at the end of a very long winter!

If you're planning on visiting Boston and are looking for somewhere 'different' to stay, look no further than the Green Turtle B&B.

My girlfriend and I have just completed a 6-day visit to Boston and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Green Turtle!

Karen & John are very hospitable hosts; organising a water taxi to pick us up from the harbour on arrival and giving us lots of hints and tips on how to get about the city.

The rooms are very comfortable with all the mod-cons you could wish for making it a real home-from-home, the wi-fi is a god-send for travellers from the UK to eliminate hefty data roaming charges.

Karen & John were available if we needed them but gave us plenty of privacy too which was great.

In the morning our hosts very kindly brought fresh food for breakfast and cleaned our room and replenished our fridge with food and drink when we'd left for the day.

Nothing is too much trouble, and the view from the deck is wonderful. If you're looking for somewhere cute and cosy to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre - and providing you don't mind a little swaying (the rooms do move as they are exactly what they say on the tin; a floating B&B) - then I do recommend the Green Turtle.

Many thanks to Karen & John for their hospitality, they helped make our stay in Boston a memorable one!

Yes, Thank you to Trip Advisor, otherwise, I would never have found the Green Turtle Bed and Breakfast.
We are on a 5 week holiday around USA, and the Green Turtle was such a welcome change to the typical hotel. Although we were there only two nights, Karen and John made us feel like family friends, with so much additional thought taken by them to make ones stay enjoyable, unlike a large impersonal hotel, where everything is at an additional charge as well.
The bed was wonderfully luxurious, you didn't sleep on it, you are enveloped into it and even on a cold winter March evening, it is warm and toasty.

Thanks Karen and John, I hope we meet again on our next stay in Boston.

What a wonderful stay. My girlfriend surprised me with a stay at this peaceful B&B, and I haven't slept so well in a long time.
John and Karen are beyond friendly, and helped make it an incredible nights stay on pier 8.
