Fantastic - Stylish and very evocative of Bostons past. Great neighborhood shops , Deli's and restaurants - some of which were surprisingly good value. Well worth a visit and browse.

I was super surprisd how residential it was.I felt weird about taking pictures of peoples houses, but I just tried to roll with it. Pinckey street had the best houses.

Beacon Hill is one of the more prominent streets in Boston. Along it is the State House and Cheers and amazing residences for citizens of Boston who are well of. It serves as a nice little stroll to absorb the culture of the city. I would not recommend prioritizing walking thru this area, but if you have some time it is very nice.

Located on the original Boston, This is where all the History of our Great Country starts. Most of the rest of the City is on filled land.Start your tour here at the State House, as you descend the steps you will see a large bronze plaque dedicated to Robert Gould Shaw and the 54 Massachusetts Regiment. The Boston Common is at your feet, and the Freedom Trail starts nearby.

I live in Boston. Not in Beacon Hill. And I always manage to visit the neighborhood at least twice a month. I love the buildings, the sidewalks, the stores, Charles St. I love finding out who famous person lives (or used to live) where. I love Louisburg Sq. I love going up and down the streets. Very romantic walk. Not appropriate for elders with knee or back problems unless it's a short walk.
Whole Foods is nearby if you want a very relaxed meal experience.
Most of the restaurants on Charles St are good.
