Owner description: The famous Boston Brahmin neighborhood of red brick sidewalks, cobblestoned streets, elegant townhouses and gas street lamps.

Beacon Hill is great for Sunday walks, or biking if you can manage the inclines. And watch out for those cobble stones. Loaded with history, it's full of brownstone houses, shops and boutiques, cafes. you won't be bored. When we were there, it was very quiet, hardly anybody about, a perfect September Sunday morning.

Beacon Hill is a must see neighbourhood when visiting Boston. The area is filled with history and old brownstone houses line the streets. Make sure to visit the shops on Charles St. between Beacon St. and Cambridge St. Also take a stroll east of Charles St. onto streets like Revere St. and Garden St. to see the charm of Beacon Hill's old houses and narrow streets ( some are even cobblestoned). When we were there in the afternoon the side streets in Beacon Hill were not busy and you could easily take photos. Be prepared to walk a bit up hill if you go east of Charles St.

Lots of great shops and easy to walk. Perfect location right next to the Park and a ton of restaurants. Felt very safe here.

Lovely and quaint historic Boston neighborhood with charming brownstone homes. Walk along Beacon Street and discover numerous boutiques, galleries, and excellent restaurants. We stopped in at Fig for one of their signature pizza pies and a pint after an afternoon of sightseeing and shopping. Excellent

If you like history and you like beautiful homes, a walk through Beacon Hill is worth the time. Be prepared for some moderate uphill climbs.
Plenty to do in the immediate area (attractions, restaurants, etc.)
