Owner description: The famous Boston Brahmin neighborhood of red brick sidewalks, cobblestoned streets, elegant townhouses and gas street lamps.

This neighborhood is a lovely mix of residences, shops, services and restaurants. Charming tree-lined streets and brick sidewalks, nice selection of eateries ranging from $ to $$$. Good for families, very romantic for couples, and adjacent to the west end of Boston Common.

Cool area, close to downtown, yet with calm streets. Nice old houses. Close to Boston Commons Park. Nice restaurants and shops in the area.

This was our favorite part of our walking tour of Boston, which wasn't organized, we did it on our own. We just wandered and got lost thruout the "Hill" and loved it. Really beautiful homes and architecture. Well worth strolling thru.

Very attractive architecture that sticks out through the taller, more modern buildings. The park that is over looked by this building is beautiful and bustling.

we wandered around this quiet neighborhood. it teams with historic houses and some once lived very famous souls. if you have a map of the freedom trail, there is a blue trail, that you can follow as well, to walk in this neighbourhood.
