Description: Charles Draghi and Joan Johnson's highly acclaimed contemporary Italian restaurant and wine bar. With Charles' simple, ever changing menus, rooted in traditional regional Italian cooking, and the best seasonal local ingredients. This restaurant has won numerous awards and kudos from critics, and many loyal guests. Alongside the Italian menus an equally lauded, all Italian wine list, comprised of rare and traditional village wines. The enoteca/wine bar is a cozy and lively meeting place, with its own menu of simple plates and a fun cordial cocktail list.

“Highly recommended (come with deep pockets)”

If you really want to enjoy Erbaluce be prepared to drop between ~120$ for 2 people.
That will include a decent entree, a bottle of wine and desert.
The food was very good, the ambiance is relaxing even though the noise levels are higher than i expected (but i did not mind that).
Having said all of that, i have eaten in very good restaurants in my life (sadly most in Europe) the price you pay here compared to the quality of food is not in sync, for the quality of food they serve, it should have been somewhat less expensive.
Still, i had a good experience.

“Love this gem”
Reviewed May 14, 2013

I first learned about Erbaluce a year ago and have dined there five or six times since. With family, friends and clients - all dining experiences have been wonderful. The service is gracious, the food is unique, innovative and flavorful and the wine is fabulous if you love Italian wines as do I. The chef's preparations of the food are healthy without feeling or tasting like health food. The menu changes seasonally, but I've never had a bad dish. Parking is easy and the location is great for walking from Back Bay or Downtown Crossing. Intimate setting and excellent experience!

“A Little Gem”
Reviewed April 29, 2013

We have been to Erbaluce twice and both times had a wonderful experience. It;s a quiet little place, which is very 'homey', largely due to the friendliness of the hostess and the rest of the staff. The food is exceptional and we just felt like we were having dinner in the Tuscan countryside - excellent dining in an unhurried atmosphere.

“Intimate setting and big flavors.”
Reviewed April 15, 2013

Erbaluce is the kind of place where you insist on sharing tastes of other people's food because it looks and smells so beautiful. It's listed as Italian, but that's too narrow a description. The Butternut Squash Veluttata with Spiced Shrimp and Basil had notes of Moroccan spices. For main courses we had a Fusilli with Spiced Boar Ragu and Pecorino, and a Pan Roasted Nasello with Roasted Yellow Pepper and Rosemary Sauce, both perfectly cooked and delicious. Too full for dessert, they nevertheless brought a small plate of sweets to end our meal.
