Very good location if you want to walk the Freedom Trail and dine in the North End, or go to the Boston Garden. Updated, secure building. Accommodations were good as expected. The only negative about our stay was 1) The towel rack in the master bath was out of the wall and on the floor. It probably was not reported to the management company before our arrival. 2) We arrived on a Sunday and had a rental vehicle with us. I could not find any public parking open including the two lots that were recommended on the Stay Alfred site. I called them and they tried to help me but I had to make the decision to drop my family off and then I drove back to Boston Logan Airport to return the car 3 days earlier than I had paid for. I had to take a taxi back and unfortunately my rental cost was the same. Not really their fault but the information they provided for parking was not accurate. If you need to bring your car find somewhere they provides parking but you don't need a car in this part of town.
The location of this apartment was PERFECT for our stay - it is close to the TD Bank Center, the train, amazing restaurants in the North End, and the Freedom Trail. We walked to 75% of the places we visited. The apartment was very spacious and clean. At times it was a little loud and you could hear noises from the street, but mostly when an event let out at TD Bank, and the actual apartment itself was very quiet. Easy to check in and check out. Overall, just a great experience - everyone in our party kept saying how much they loved the place and the location.
The location is close to pretty much everything. One of the best things about Boston is that it is very pedestrian friendly. From this condo you can walk anywhere in the city. We did and had a great time checking out freedom trail, parks, restaurants and brew houses. There are plenty of coffee shops and restaurants on Canal street along with a CVS which is basically in the same building. The condo itself is clean, modern, comfortable, and well appointed. We did not cook one meal in it but could have if we wanted to. There are just so many places to choose from right outside the door we decided to eat on the fly. We had a problem with the washing machine but it was fixed within 24 hours. If you're scouring through all the possible rentals wondering if it's the right place look no further this place has it all. Also, the view from the condo I had was on/facing Canal street and I was on the 7th floor. Great city view even though there is a good bit of construction going on. I sat in the living room watching the big crain working on TD Garden (at least I think that's what it was), pretty cool.
