Location is great, very centralized location to see sites. Boston common and public gardens are a 5 minute walk. Across from the T, recommend getting a 7 day pass if you’re there for a week. Units are a good size, minor improvements need to be done. My family stayed in a 3 bedroom unit and a 2 bedroom unit. Unfortunately, the 2 bedroom reeked of weed almost every day. The couch should be replaced in that unit and the carpet had stains.
The 3 bdr unit’s stand up shower needs a shelf and balcony blinds need to be replaced. Also, no kitchen towels or dish cloths were supplied. All in all, the accommodations were good.
The building itself felt safe; however, the immediate area had some shady people hanging around. I wouldn’t walk at night by myself, but in a group I felt okay.
Stay Alfred had great customer service.
The location is great for downtown Boston. We were able to walk to Boston Commons, the Boston Public Library (so impressive!) and Faneuil Hall and to many restaurants. The condo was roomy and clean and had everything you would need in a kitchen. The parking was around the corner (I think it was called Pilgrim Parking), so not too bad but we had to make 2 trips to the car as there was no way to pull up in front and drop things off. The parking spaces were more for compact cars than an SUV, so it was tight to get around inside. But it only came to $60 for 3 nights so we thought that was really good (included a cheaper weekend rate).
