First time at a Holiday Inn Express and not disappointed. Good location with clean, comfortable room and welcoming, efficient staff. But it is tricky to find. Got completely lost. Called hotel for help. Special thanks to guardian angel Sarah who guided us with patient block by block directions and was waiting for us in the parking lot! Short walk to nearby Marriott for Boston Old Town Trolley tour pick-up. Shuttle to/from cruise port. A nice day in Boston before getting on the ship.

This hotel met our needs. My daughter (who lives in Boston) was concerned about surrounding neighborhood, but once inside hotel no problem. Not the kind of neighborhood you can feel safe in at night. We had a car, so wasn't messing with the T or having to walk anywhere. For us the location was great to the "Southie" neighborhood. Great service, great room, no road noise. Based on prior travel reviews, did ask for higher floor and room facing away from freeway. Everything you could ask for in a Holiday Inn Express. I will stay here again.

Room was OK, but not what we were promised, AC was very noisy. There were no eating places close to motel, the restaurant's were a few blocks away, so if you had problems walking you were up a creek. Breakfast was good . For $200.00 a night you would expect something better.

As the hotel General Manager I want to take a moment to thank you for taking the time to post your comments about the hotel on tripadvisor. I am disappointed that you were not made aware of the dining available located in the South Bay Plaza which is located next to the hotel with fine dinning restaurants such as Olive Garden, Applebee's and Panera Bread the Courtyard Marriott which is located next door has a great Bistro. If you plan on staying with us again please feel free to contact me and I will assist you with all your needs.

The hotel itself is very nice. The staff are really wonderful. Not being from the Boston area I did have one complaint ... the hotel is almost impossible to get to. You see it and you can't turn in. Then you go the other way and again, this time a one way street. Once we got there, it was great. Lots of shops behind and a nice restaurant close. Just beware!!

This is my idea of a boutique hotel, and pleasant it is. Right across from the arena, and close to some interesting, unique, and small restaurants. Plan on walking in Boston, everything is close together. The hotel personnel were great: they got us tickets on the 2-day city trolley tour. Breakfast was better than most hotels with a "breakfast bar." We were made to feel right at home.

Room Tip: Room 201 (probabIy 301,401,501 also) is closest to elevator and would avoid that if possible.

We spent three nights at this hotel. The shuttle picked us up at the airport about 15 minutes after we called. The room was neat and clean. The breakfast was good and there was a large selection. There were delicious cookies in the evening. The staff was very polite and accommodating. They set up an all day tour for us and we were picked up and returned to the hotel in the evening. The hotel shuttle even brought us to the subway the next day. Very pleased. Would not hesitate to stay here again.
