“Friendly, comfortable, convenient much better than a hotel”
Reviewed January 12, 2011

We arrived late due to the snow at Heathrow and when we entered our room it was warm, big and comfortabloe and we had a phone call to ask if we had arrived safely. The staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to do anything for you unlike the way you are treated as one of a number in a hotel. Copley House was right in the heart of Back Bay with the Prudential Shopping Mall only a few minutes walk away and all the transport within minutes of Copley House. I would definitely recommend Copley House and am looking forward to trying out more of their establishments in other cities.

My boyfriend and me stayed 2 nights at the Copley Hpuse for 80$/night from december 30th and 31st. This hotel is well located right next to the prudential mall and copley square, a 25 min walk to Boston Comon and 40 min walk to the Aquarium. It is also very close to a T station if you want to take public transportation. We booked the small studio through priceline. The room was located on the 3rd floor (no elevator or staff to bring the luggage be warned) and had a fully equipped kitchenette and a double bed. The room was very small and old but clean and the windows are not perfectly soundproofed so if you are not used to city sounds you might want to skip on this one.
The building itself looks very nice inside and out and is located in a very nice neighborhood. The parking is 10$ for the whole stay which is very good compared to the 25$ and up/day they charge in most of Boston's hotels. You also have free internet.
I would recommend this hotel to open-minded not too needy tourists who don't want to pay a fortune to stay downtown. If you like chain-style hotels and don't like to walk or take the subway, the Copley House is not for you.

We came from Paris to spend a week in Boston. The appartment we had at Copley House was very convenient and confortable. We enjoyed the city as if we were part of it, being able to go easily everywhere and to rest when needed. It is THE ideal solution for enjoying a big city like Boston!

I enjoyed my stay, found the place to be clean and the staff nice. Location is excellent. The less impressive aspects were an outdated bathroom and tatty hall/staircase. However, my comfortable room made me feel very much at home. I would recommend this to those averse to bland corporate hotels, but not to those who want McDonalds-style predictability at the expense of character. Not cheap, but location justifies the price largely. I note a number of horror one star reviews on TP relating to a room or rooms not in the main building but a block or so away. I stayed in 107 above in the same building as reception, but it seems the other location may be leading to the poor reviews. I would suggest to the management that they don't use a room which is compromising their online reputation.

Upon arriving at the Copley House (which was very late) the office was closed, however, there late night checkin proceedure was so easy and convenient I was in my apt. within a few minutes.

I was able to pay my bill the following day. The service I received was so refreshing, The manager was very pleasant - I have not always received that from other hotel employees.

My room was clean, all appliances were clean (the apt. came fully furnished with everything someone would need for a weeks stay).

I was very satisfied with the service I received and would recommend The Copley House to anyone visiting Boston for business or pleasure.

Also, great location - convenient to HinesConvention Center, as well as other shops and fooderies.

Our first take on the Copely House was that it was filthy and undergoing third rate (cheap) renovations which, in our opinion, will not made this place any more attractive. The room we were assigned had a rug that was so filthy we asked for a new room. Within seconds a giant roach ran from the bathroom. When we complained, we were taken to another building and shown a room with visible mouse traps. We gave up and checked out and went to another hotel.

We were really amazed by the location in a very safe area near the Prudential mall in Backbay at walking distance to Universities and downtown area. Apartments are very spacious and offer comfort, quitness and free WIFi access. I liked the equipped kitchen that enabled us to cook quick meals, especially breakfast in the morning
