Stayed here overnite on the tail end of our vacation in Cape Cod, hotel is right across the street from Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. We had booked thru Get a Room, as the hotel had no rooms available on their website, nor did the major online travel sites. Was pricey, but we had a nice little room with king bed which fit us parents and one child, and French balcony-bed was super comfy with fluffy pillows and smooth sheets--yes be prepared for all kinds of revelry on weekend nites, but most stopped before 11pm. The balcony door lock on one side was broken but we mentioned it to the maint man who came up to bring us a frig (was complimentary, we didn't use the minibar) and they fixed that asap. There was cigarette butts on the balcony, that shouldn't have been overlooked by housekeeping.Large glass door shower. Wifi free in the lobby, but 9.95 in your room :( We took a cab in from the aiport, we should have looked into a bus shuttle as the cab ride cost us $25 for a 2 mile trip! We would stay here again as it's a nice hotel and a superb location!

Room Tip: get a room that faces the mah-ket

Dear Reviewer,

Thank you for your recent stay and we are pleased to hear of your experience, minus the oversight on the balcony.

Our team continues to focus on the guest experience and we will review the balcony maintenance with all of our housekeepers. As you might imagine, not everyone honors our no-smoking policy, however we must be prepared.

We look forward to your next Boston visit,

This place is been the perfect location for my trip to Boston. It is right across the street from Faneuil Hall and is also very close to the north and Italian district. It is within a decent walking distance of the convention center. The staff is also been very accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend this place if you're traveling to Boston.

We had a difficult time driving to the hotel - it is right next to Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market, but so many streets are one-way or under construction, it made it difficult to access. The rooms were spacious. We stayed in a room that overlooked the weekend market - which started setting up at around 7am or so, which was a bit loud. No free wifi, $47 per day for parking. In this day, it seems that only the high-end hotels still require guests to pay for wifi. The parking fee seemed excessive. Although the concierge was not around the three days that we were there, the front desk people were helpful with directions and recommendations for restaurants.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does NOT face the farmer's market, that sets up on the back-side of the hote...

Dear Senior Contributor,

We appreciate you taking time to share your experience with both our hotel and the city of Boston, thank you!

Boston streets are difficult to maneuver and one of the few American cities where there is no particular grid to follow, and we realize your experience every day. So, thank you for your patience.

In browsing your past reviews, we are favored with your travel experience, as will many future Bostonian guests.

Again, we appreciate your visit and comments,

I can only speak for the Penthouse Rooms overlooking Faneuil Hall and say WOW!!! Exceptional! It really is the only place to stay when you want to be close to Faneuil Hall, the North End and the Waterfront/Financial District. Everything is walking distance from here (save Charlestown and Fenway). Alot of the Freedom Trail locations are walking distance. The rooms we had were fabulous with a private walkout terrace that overlooked Faneuil Hall. We ate breakfast out there each morning and cocktails each evening. Bathrooms are spacious with separate shower and tub.
The staff was not at all acceptable for this level of hotel. They seemed like amatuers when it comes to upscale service. They were not polite or eager to accomodate even the smallest of requests in a timely manner. And I stayed in the most expensive rooms in the hotel and this was how I was treated. I cant imagine the service other may be getting.
Since this trip I have been back to Boston several times for business and vacation with family and I have chosen other hotels of this same caliber that are equally wonderful except the location, and who have staff that are helpful, courteous and professional. Millennium Bostonian Hotel... you have some serious work to do on your staffing skills. PS - the onsight restaurant has great food and a nice bar for evening cocktails.

Room Tip: I can only speak to the Penthouse rooms in terms of quiet and quality.

Dear Contributor,

Thank you for the 5-Star rating and we appreciate your recent visit! It is always rewarding to learn of a guest whose accommodations were upgraded to our premier Penthouse Level.

Certainly our team is focused on customer service, and we note your rating for Service at 4-Star and would address any concern with specific direction. Regardless, I will, as always, review your comments with my management team and key associates.

We look forward to your return Boston visit,

We stayed here for a night on the town in Boston....and wanted to be able to walk the harbor walk, north end and Faneuil Hall. We accomplished that as well as a great walk through the Boston Common. This hotel is perfectly positioned for a night or day on the town in this area. We arrived and were pleasantly welcomed by the valet staff. Valet parking was accomplished professionally and without incident. Front desk staff were great...friendly, efficient and on the ball. They recognized us by name several hours after we checked in to pick up our key for an upgrade room that had not been ready when we arrived earlier than regular check-in. Our room was a balcony room overlooking Faneuil Hall. A perfect room for what we wanted...although you should be prepared for the sounds of revelry on a weekend....it is that close to the action. The room was smallish, but clean and well appointed. Nothing fancy, but upscale and nice. EVERY person we met that worked at this hotel was friendly and efficient. Book directly on their website...often deals that are not available elsewhere...like the summer special we booked. We received a $50.00 credit for breakfast...and it was almost enough to cover it!!!

Room Tip: Haymarket side will be loud and busy in the am...Faneuil hall side will be quieter in the am and nos...

We had a great room overlooking Faneuil Hall. Our room was a good size, well appointed, clean and quiet. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Little touches like having umbrellas available to all guests was nice touch. Having stayed in many hotels in Boston, this one was a great location, good quality and value for money.

Just spent the weekend at the hotel and couldn't be more pleased..Friendly and helpful staff. Location was awesome, right in the middle of all the restaurants and bars. Historical sights were all within walking distance. Loved the fruit and vegi market right outside the door. Our flight got cancelled and we returned for another night with no problems checking back in ...Keep up the good work ,I'll definitely be back!!!!!
