Travelled with 2 couples for a long weekend to see concert at TD Garden. We stayed February 26 - 29, 2014. Being first time visitors to Boston from St. John's, Newfoundland, we found this to be an excellent in which to explore historic Boston. Directly across the street from Faneuil hall/Quincy Market and walking distance to harbourfront, little Italy, Boston Common. TD Garden was less than a 10 minute walk!

Rooms: We requested rooms close together and upper floor which was accommodated by friendly front-desk staff. Additionally, we did request a fridge for the room and this was happily accommodated as well. We had rooms facing Quincy Market on 7th floor and did not have issues with street noise. In fact, we found the view great. I had complimentary Wi-Fi as a Millenium rewards member.

Staff had a welcome fruit tray/chocolates in our room the second night which was a nice touch!

We will definitely return here in the future and I have already recommended this hotel to friends who are planning on visiting Boston for the Bruins playoff games!

I booked a superior room with a balcony. Disappointed that the balcony faced a brick wall. The only view was from outside on the balcony and looking right down the alleyway. Also upon early check in, was told our room on the 2nd floor was ready, but if we wanted to wait for a higher floor we could. Since we were not going to be returning for hours we agreed. When we did check in, we were given a room on the 3rd floor??? Also, asked for ice on checkin, never received it. Morning of checkout, noticed we were dangerously low on toilet paper, with no backup. Glad there were tissues.

Dear Recent Guest,

We apologize that your stay offer any disappointment as Millennium Bostonian offers a variety of views and locations.

Certainly as a historic location, on the oldest working block in America, our accommodations with balconies overlook cobblestone alleyways, North End parks, and historic landmarks. As with any fine hotel, and whenever an alternate view is requested we are always pleased to relocate and accommodate.

Hotels train their teams' to be responsive and empower them with the ability to improve a guest stay, so please never feel hesitant on requesting a room change at any fine establishment.

Please let me know of a future Boston visit, and I will personally select an accommodation that I know will offer the best view of Boston's historic landmarks.

Again, thank you,

If you are wanting to stay right on the Freedom Trail this is a perfect hotel. You are just steps away from basically the center of the trail. Being so close to Quincy Market Place/Faneuil Hall was a huge benefit.

The hotel itself was very welcoming and the staff was great. They had complimentary hot apple cider one cold afternoon and then the next day wonderful lemonade. Our room was very quiet and spacious. The only downside is that the bathroom is very dark. I would definitely return to this hotel.

We were upgraded to a lovely room with a balcony and fireplace overlooking Quincy Market Place. The room was beautiful and very spacious. The bathroom was over the top with separate shower and tub. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets felt so good. The amenities were top class, just what you would expect from a hotel of this caliber. The staff was friendly and helpful right down to the valet. Would chose this hotel again if we ever make it back to Boston.

I was in room 608. It was a very nice room. Bright and spacious. However, it was a room that had an adjoining room with the door separating the rooms. I could hear everything that was going on in the next room, hairdryers, voices, etc. So, if I stay here again I would make a point to not have a room with an adjoining room attached. I had a friend who was staying in room 730. I checked it out, it had a fireplace and not adjoining rooms. I would have no complaints if I had that room. Typically, I stay in the BackBay but tried this place. Location was good. You can walk to the North End for Italian, Quincy Market is across the Street, and the waterfront is right there. I was also disappointed that the TV has not HD. It is 2014 so we should probably expect HD in a hotel that was featured in Conde Nast. Service was very good.

Room Tip: Do not get a room that has an adjoining room as it will be noisy and you will hear everything that g...

Dear Top Contributor,

Thank you for your recent stay and we truly value your time and comments.

We are disappointed to learn that your stay was impacted by noise from the adjoining room door and we will evaluate options to improve the soundproofing. Our hotel offers less than a dozen connectors and surely, on request, we can avoid this configuration on a future stay.

We appreciate your visit and please do contact my office direct so that I may assist with future reservations.

Sincerely,

We stayed at this hotel for the Boston Marathon and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were helpful and friendly and the hotel had set up amenities for the marathon, including free post-race massages. The location was very convenient for Freedom Trail walks and Faneuil Hall shopping as well as the T (State Street). Our room for two was tight but cozy. It was a little loud as we were on the second floor over the neighboring stores and across from Qunicy Market, but we slept fine. Internet is an additional $10 which seems a little silly considering the fairly high price of rooms.

Countless restaurants are within easy walking distance, including many great Italian restaurants in the North End. Other sites such as the TD Garden and Boston Common are about 10 minutes away on foot. Really enjoyed our weekend.

Room Tip: Higher floors and more to the east and north, if possible.

Well this was a treat. We arrived in Boston via the T. Walked across the street to Marketplace. We got tied up watching the different street vendors and the various shows. We final after about an hour made it to the hotel. We checked in with a front desk staff who were very professional. One problem was that we had five (5) rooms and they were to be all together, but found out that they were all on the same floor but all over the place. Contact the desk as the rooms were to all be ajoining and together, but due to other rooms being booked they could not more us all together, which is how it was booked. There is no ice machine in this hotel, you have to contact room service and they bring up a bucket of ice. This can be a slight problem as they don't hurryit to you. Cleaniness of the rooms was good, but had to many dishes sitting in the hallway waiting for someone to pick them up. Value is what you would think for Boston, but location was great. Walking distance to everything that you might need, or a T ride away. Would recommend this to all.
