Stayed here last weekend for a wedding. This is a beautiful hotel in every respect. The best part is the staff who were incredibly nice (from valet to cashier and everyone in between) and accomodating !
Only thing not perfect is Solas, the Irish pub. Food is OK, service poor. Our soft drinks tasted like amonia on 2 visits. Brought to attention of both server & manager. Neither did anything or seemed to care.

From the doorman to the man at the bar, the service is incredible. Beautiful hotel in the heart of Boston. Comfy beds, decorated shower with great courtesy items. There is not a pool but we knew that in advance so it wasn't a problem. Exercise facility open 24 hrs. Right near the Boston Marathon finish line. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. The staff really made the difference. Will definitely stay there again.

My husband and I were here for four nights. We came late at night to check in and no valet was available. We paid the $45/day for car parking/valet and you could drive in/out as much as you wanted for that price. Nicely decorated lobby area, although a little small and very busy with the entrances to eateries off it. The lobby has iced tea and lemonade for guests during the day - very refreshing. The front desk staff are friendly and professional. They were very helpful during our stay; I thought they were great. I cannot say the same thing about the lady concierge who was cold, curt and totally unhelpful. My recommendation is to walk the short distance on Boylston Street to the Visitor's Center in the Prudential Building for maps and visitor help.
Our classic room was average size. Bed was very firm so difficult to sleep on if you are a stomach sleeper. Furniture showing its wear. Good points for the mini fridge and waste basket with separations for recycling. Bad points for maid not putting the recycling seperator in each day so that you either had to figure out how to do that yourself or just throw everything together. They give you complimentary bottles of water each day in your refrig. At night with turndown service are Lindt chocolates on your pillow - yum! Also, if you need a little snack for walking around, call the front desk and they will bring something up for you at no cost.
The bathroom is a nice size and clean with hotel bath robes to use and a good brand of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and lotion.
This hotel is in a good location if you are a walker. I walked to Fenway Park, Museum of Fine Arts on the one side and on the other to Boston Commons and the entire Freedom Trail. If you are looking to just do the Freedom Trail, then I would recommend a hotel downtown.
If you have a chance, visit the old part of the Boston Public Library which is right near this hotel. It is beautiful with murals and marble.

Room Tip: Upon check-in ask if a corner high room with a view is available.

The location, staff and common areas at the Lenox were outstanding. The rooms are somewhat small, otherwise this would be a five star review. The hotel had a good workout room, with complementary chilled water. The bar and Irish pub looked promising, but I didn't get a chance to try them as I was traveling with my family.

The Lenox Hotel exemplifies the true Boston experience. The location alone could not be more ideal in the heart of Back Bay and walking distance numerous attractions and hot spots surrounding the hotel. At the Lenox I find the perfect balance of luxury, old world charm and modern sophistication. The overall experience factor at The Lenox is unparallelled. The staff is extremely helpful and genuinely friendly while giving you a very professional feel without feeling stuffy. If you are looking for a truly boutique hotel experience and want a unique hotel stay the Lenox is the perfect fit.

Room Tip: Book a Superior or larger room, the least expensive rooms are a little small

I have stayed at the Lenox many times, largely because of the staff. The rooms are decorated like a traditional home and while the bathrooms are small, they are adequate. It is in a great location right in the heart of Back Bay. If you want a hotel with charm and character, and a staff that always greets you with a smile, this is your place.

Room Tip: The junior suites are the corner rooms, and while not overly large, they are better than the standar...
