“The Lenox was a lovely surprise!”
Reviewed June 25, 2013 via mobile

A charming historic hotel, nicely updated and close by great shopping, restaurants and parks. Our corner, 2 queen bed room had a sitting area, fireplace and since big tv. The Eco emphasis was great, for example, with free refills of filtered water. Nice, inviting bar & pub on site - great for when it's really cold. I will definitely try to stay here on our next trip. The staff were very friendly and, for a fee, I was able to bring my dog.

Very, very pleasant experience and place to return to after exploring Boston's treasures each day. Very friendly staff....the BEST clam chowder in the City Bar. Comfortable bed, great attention paid to small comfort details in our room...Lindt chocolates every night, lovely robes, beautiful, fluffy towels, high thread count sheets, safe for your valuables and a view from our corner window. Lord and Taylor next door (we arrived without some of our luggage) drug store, apple store just a block away (replace sunglasses, purchase charge cords for our Iphone etc.) and so very convenient for regrouping after long travel. Public library across the street. Easy Taxi ride to Gardner Museum which was one of our first outings. If you are looking for a truly friendly, caring hotel staff, this is the place for you. We would come back to the Lenox in a heart beat!

Room Tip: Yes, the corner rooms with views are lovely. We are on the fourth floor and have not been bothered b...

We just checked out and cannot say enough about our stay. The location is almost as perfect as the staff and they are exemplary of what perfect hospitality can and should be. The rooms are slightly dated but in an elegantly historic way. The employees inspired this review. We stay at great properties and the service here will make you overlook anything that might strike you as dated.

Room Tip: Boylston Street rooms on higher floors might have a view toward Cambridge over the Charles, our room...

Our family had a great 3 days at the Lenox in June 2013.

The central location is great for shopping, restraunts and sight seeing.
The stafff were excellent, they couldn't have been more helpful around the hotel and with top tourist tips.
Rooms and public areas were kept spotlessly clean at all times.

The only downside, the noisey but efficient air conditioning needs improved (silenced).

And Boston itself. What a great clean and friendly city. Great to see the community pulling together after recent events.

Our top tip - take a trolley tour on your first day. The guides are great (especially Big Al), it's a great way to get your bearings and it will help you draw up your own short list of things to do.

The Belles of Scotland.

This was my second stay at the Lenox, the last time in April 2011. On both occasions the outstanding feature was the sheer luxury of a hotel which set out to cater to your every need. The staff could not do more to help, the rooms were splendid, meals good, and a location which couldn't be bettered.

The hotel has nice location. The room they gave us need a lot of maintenance. The AC was not working. The mirror at clost room falloff. The bathroom is small.
Overall the staff is nice except for the lady at the front disk she is defiantly not there to help.
The breakfast at city table was great. Highly recommend that. The rooms or at least the one we staid there for 8 night is not for guests.

Room Tip: Don't take room 406

We stayed at the lenox for three nights in June. Every aspect of this hotel was outstanding. The location and the service was perfect. All the staff at the hotel could not have been more accommodating and pleasant. Especially, Sid, who greeted us with home-made brownies and cold water after returning from our sightseeing outings. I love Boston and The Lenox!!
