Spent two nights in one of the corner JS. The room had a non-functioning fireplace that added to the homey ambiance with couch and comfortable sitting chair. There was also a desk , free WiFi, a mini-fridge and complementary bottled water. The bathroom had very little counter or storage space, but the shower was good. We arrived early after a cruise and relaxed in their beautiful lobby with complementary Peet's coffee for a while. Our room was ready around 2 pm.
Fantastic location close to transportation, shopping and restaurants. We walked to the Prudential Center around the corner and took the Duck tour in the rain. Great fun! The Hotel loaned us a big umbrella each.
We had one dinner and one breakfast at their restaurant. Food was just OK. Wine list was limited. We took their sedan transportation to the airport for $40 + tip-- easy!

We stayed for two nights in Boston after a cruise. We were fortunate to have this hotel after putting in our bid on Priceline. The welcome from the bellman to the front desk and concierge was exceptional. We were given upgrades to the top floor at no extra expense with a wonderful view of downtown. The room was spacious, with a desk and chair. Also there were two other comfortable chairs in the room. The mini frig held complimentary bottled water, replaced each day. One of the most comfortable beds I have had in a hotel. It was quiet throughout the common areas and the hallways, which I always consider a big plus. I inquired at the front desk where I could purchase something for a sore throat, and they insisted on sending a complimentary pot of tea to the room. It is very convenient to shops, restaurants and across the street from the public library. I definitely would stay there upon return to this great city!

Room Tip: Inquire as to availability of upper floors facing Exeter street. Great views!

Stayed for 3 nights before touring New England...Only had a standard room but everything clean, smart and well thought out...Yes, the bathrooms are on the small size but nothing to complain about..Used the Pub downstairs for a drink and twice to eat late at night..food was really nice...above all else the staff at the hotel are all so friendly, never encountered anyone who didn't have a smile and a helping hand...first class.!!
Had breakfast in the hotel only once...fine food but the price is typical big city price..plenty of restaurants nearby but not many open for breakfast...
Overall...Well done Lenox..!!

I stayed in the Lenox Hotel for 8 days in August, and I enjoyed my stay and would definitely return. First, the location is perfect for exploring Boston. It is close to a running path on the waterfront; close to the Convention Center; close to great restaurants; and across the street from the Boston Public Library. (Given that I love libraries, I count this as a major "plus.") Secondly, the staff members are all very friendly and helpful. From the bartender at the restaurant to the concierge, every person I encountered made me feel that they were genuinely happy to have me as a guest. Every morning, there was coffee in the lounge, which I appreciated. The restaurant/cafe had good food at reasonable prices. In particular, the breakfasts were very good. The hotel itself is a historic building, which I happen to like. The beds were comfortable, and the black-out curtains really did block out the light. (I've stayed at some hotels in which this was not the case.) The room had the usual amenities, like bottled water and an in-room safe, and the free wifi had a strong signal and always worked. The fitness center is small, but usable and clean. The bathroom was a bit dated, and the shower heads could use replacing and better water pressure, but as I was there for business, I didn't really mind that too much. When I travel for business, I want a clean and comfortable room, friendly and prompt service, a usable fitness center, available coffee and a wifi signal that works. I got all of these things at the Lenox Hotel. Overall, I would happily stay at the Lenox Hotel again.

Stayed here in early Sept 2012 on a visit from Ireland. In common with other observers, we found the staff particularly friendly and helpful and the accommodation and general hotel set-up to be really good. Certainly recommended. Exiting the hotel onto Boylston Street is a good direct route to the city centre and a very pleasant walk, past Boston Common, etc, so location is another definite plus for the hotel.
