“Excellent stay”
Reviewed February 26, 2014 via mobile

This is a perfect hotel if you are looking for a quick stay in Boston. We stayed here for three nights, the train connects to all the main lines and it is close to all the top attractions. Plus, they take care of your bags of your flight leaves later!

I have stayed here several times in the past few years. It is right across the street from TD Garden for Bruins games, Celtic games, concerts, etc. as well as very close to the North End for great Italian restaurants. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. If you want to check out but still spend the day exploring Boston, you can check you bags securely with no problem at all.

Room Tip: I don't remember the room number, but one time I was given a room that was very dark due to the...

We arrived before out check in and were promptly greeted by the desk staff with welcomes and friendly smiles. Since it was to early to check in we asked about checking our bags till we could. We were told that would not be a problem. One of the ladies at the front desk, her name is Anita) was one of the ones to greet us with a warm smile then asked what were we in Boston for. We told her we were doing some sightseeing. She pulled out a map gave us some great suggestions with great directions. When we came back later to check in she was still on duty recognized us and greeted us again with warm genuine smile and asked if we had a good time sightseeing. The next morning she once again greeted us and when we told her our train wasn't till late in the day we were told it would be no problem to check our bags with them allowing us to sight see without carrying our bags all over Boston. We can not say enough about how kind and helpful she was. We told her we appreciated all she had done. She thanked us and said "well it helps if you love what you do and I love it here" The rest of the staff were wonderful too but she made our stay. The hotel is close to Boston Garden, short walk to Faneuil Hall, Quincy Market, Aquarium, north end for cannoli's, etc. Rooms were clean, continental breakfast had good choices omelets, cereal hot and cold, fresh fruit, muffins, toast, bagels, yogurt, juices, coffee etc. We will certainly stay there again and will refer family and friends there too.

I think this hotel has got a lot going for it if you get a good priced deal. The room was a good size and the bathroom shower hot with good pressure. The staff were lovely and welcoming and thanks to Kurt for pointing out the free coffee when I was on my way out at a very early hour to catch the flight home. The breakfast area is small and casual but there is a good choice with the usual bagels, muffins, toast, milk, yoghurts, cereal and some hot choices. The hotel is perfectly located for TD Garden, but equally a walk to Faneuil Hall area will only take about 10 minutes or so.

Hello Bostonborn74! We hope you enjoyed your "night away from the kids" and everything went well with your visit! We have lots of local, most within walking distance, for children of all ages so please do bring them back with you for a visit. We would like very much to be your home away from home again. Thank you and hope to see you and your family soon.

This hotel can't be in a better location for the TD Garden/ North Station!!! That's the only positive I have. It's a small, city, hotel so the rooms were small (we had a 2double bed suite) the bathroom was even smaller. I heard the rooms had been updated but that only means new paint and pictures. The kitchen was nothing special. We had reservations at the Marriott Tudor 2bdrm suite but canceled due to the hie location, should have kept that one. Staff friendliness varied, I called a couple times regarding room type options, shanice, I think her name was, was excellent. She was friendly and helpful. I spoke with another who was not so much, and when I arrived the room was not what I had reserved and had a confirmation for. They did fix but in general not worth the hassle there are plenty of other great hotels in the area. We will not be staying here again.

Dear Jenn R, we appreciate your feedback and comments regarding your recent stay with us. We were pleased to hear that the location was great and that Shanice was excellent. However, I was disappointed to read that you felt the room was small and that the room upgrades were not noticed. We have replaced all the chairs, carpet, painted the walls along with other significant changes that we are proud of. Please contact me on your next visit in hopes that you will give us another chance. We do have larger suites and if one is available we would love to have you experience one. Thank you and have a great day.

The staff at Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Boston Garden seemed overly willing to go out of their way to ensure an amazing stay at the hotel. From my first conversation with Denzel on the phone asking if we could have our bags locked up because we were there before check-in. All the way to Kurt and the wonderful ladies upon departing at checkout and leaving boston at five. They held our bags to let us explore and enjoy Boston without having to carry our luggage around town. The location was great for our needs. Close to TD Garden, northend, Quincy Market and the Aquarium. Great restaurants all withing a mile walking. Our room was very clean with all the amenities that were common and then lots more that surprised us. The cleanliness of the room and entire Hotel was far beyond other Hotels we have stayed at over the past year. For the price we paid, we both felt that the room and service was well worth the price! Cant say enough about the front desk staff being super polite and going above and beyond to make our stay rock! My girl and I will be returning soon to enjoy the city and the great staff at this location.
