I recently wrote and email to the owners, kindly telling them of our experience.I was not impressed, the home itself was great, beautiful and just as the pictures show it. that was not the problem, ther service was PATHETIC, I have never spent so much to be treated so poorly.Having just completed our 8 week trip of CA, and the New England states, I have spent $8,900 in accomidation and this was easily the worst place I stayed.I will give you a tip though, Boston is a great City and the best place we stayed in our 8 weeks was Bretton Woods/Mount Washington in NH. We would travel half way round the world again to stay in this hotel for just one night, It was fabulous.Murray Slatter

Throughout the years I have stayed at various B&B's throughout the country, most are great. Although "82" is in a good location, it was among the worst B&B's I have stayed in. Breakfast consisted of microwaved old croissants, the rooms have very worn out furniture and they do not change the sheets, my tv remote was missing (which the owners did not seem to care about), the heater did not work, and the bathrooms have limited amenities. When they said only personal checks or cash are accepted, I should have taken that as a huge red flag. I'm sure the owners on their own are great people, but "82" as a small business is awful and riddled with deceptions. Their website states that a parking lot is very close by and only costs $14, well it was double that, they promised me amenities and did not deliver, my key to the main entrance did not work and they insisted it did and spent a precious twenty minutes showing me the EXACT way to use it. Too much trouble. I'll chalk up to a bad experience altogether to be fair, but overall it was simply awful for me.

My husband and I stayed at 82 Chandler Street in May 2002. I searched the internet high and low for a reasonably priced B&B in the heart of Boston and finally found it here. The room was lovely and huge, overlooking Chandler St. and the host was very accommodating when we hit the famous Boston traffic and were late arriving. The proximity of the inn to Copley Place and Back Bay station was excellent. It was a relief to dump the car for three days and be so close to the metro station and other attractions.

On a recent college trip to the east coast with my 18 year old daughter, we stayed at 82 Chandler Street in Boston and were overwhelmed by Dominic's hospitality. Although our plane was delayed and we arrived after 11pm, we were welcomed as though we were family. The room was spotlessly clean and we enjoyed a wonderful evening with the only negative being that we had to leave early the next morning. Several days later we returned to Boston to fly home and Dominic generously offered to stow our bags to save us from lugging them around Boston (even though we wouldn't be spending the night again at 82 Chandler)! Home away from home--I feel as though I have family in Boston!
