We stay at this hotel every year for a week in December for work and love this hotel!
We are big fans of Hyatt so that does affect our point of view
Check in is always pleasant and friendly and fast.....after a 24 hour flight that is nice!
We always get a suite which really isnt that much more $ but worth the extra cost when staying for more than a few days.
Rooms are very clean.
Beds are comfortable.
Views from higher floors are great especially when it snows.
Breakfast is good.
All the usual offerings such as cereal, fruit, pastries etc etc
Also an omelette station
Staff there are fabulous and always remember us from the previous year.
They are friendly and efficient and a credit to Hyatt.
As a matter of fact, I think it is the staff that cover breakfast each day that keep us coming back to this hotel....that is how good they are.
I am not a big fan of the dinner menu here.
The menu just is ordinary
It is fine if you are caught in due to the weather or are too tired to venture out.
That is my only negative
Bar seems pretty popular

Room Tip: Great hotel near shopping areas......right next to Macys with a 'tunnel' that connects you

Hello,
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review. I am delighted to hear you are a frequent guest during the holiday season, as it is the most wonderful time of the year in Boston. We certainly love hearing that our breakfast fits all your needs and encourage you to ask for any specifics you wish to try during dinner, as our chef is always willing to accommodate off-menu items! We will pass along your compliments to our associates and thank you for the kind words. We look forward to seeing you again, hopefully before next December.
Best,
Terry

We stayed at The Boston Hyatt on 12/8 while we did some business in the city. We did valet parking and just drove into the garage and our vehicle was taken immediately. We checked in early as our room was ready and we saw an amazing view of the city from our 12th floor, corner room.

We unpacked and relaxed for a few and decided to go to Legal Seafood around the corner and then to some Christmas shopping at Downtown Crossings just a few steps from the hotel.

We returned after a few hours and decided to have a cocktail in the main lounge where everyone was friendly especially the staff. We were asked many times if we needed anything and we had conversations with the bartender, manager and waiters who went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy! Awesone!

We got ready for dinner and we took a Taxi to and from the restaurant but decided to return to the lobby bar where everyone was so nice for a nightcap! The same treatment from the staff and they ALL wanted to know how our day was as well as dinner.

This is a nice hotel which offered some decent pricing for the holiday season reservations. See you all again soon Hyatt!

Room Tip: Upgrade for short money to a suite!

Absolutely the perfect place for a hotel. Near everything within walking distance and a very nice place. Besides the dirty towel we found in the room when we checked in this place was perfect. Great bar and restaurant and room was very nice.

It is not someplace you are going to love, but is a conviniente place if you want to be close to Common Boston and Freedom Trail.
Typical decoration of big chain of hotels. No surprises, good or bad. But I expected more than this.
Low experienced team at front desk, but not unbearable.

We stopped in the Hyatt Regncy for a Pre-Christmas weekend break. It was perfect. We opted to upgrade to a junior sweet which gave us an extra living space - having seen the standard room size, we didn't need to do this but it was nice to have! The rooms are large, with huge comfortable beds, the bathroom has a bath / shower which was great. Coffee machine with teas and coffees etc were provided which was a welcome extra. The rooms were very quiet at night - no street noise like you get in New York! The staff on reception were all very friendly as were the concierge - Anthony was brilliant - always made us smile and was so helpful! The hotel is just a couple of minutes from the park and the start of the Freedom Trail, 10 mins from Quincy Markets, couple of mins to the theatre areas and even the Prudential Tower and shopping areas are only 20 - 30 mins walk along very nice shopping streets. We walked miles just because it was so easy and pleasurable to do so! I highly recommend both Boston and The Hyatt Regency.

Room Tip: For extra space and luxury, opt for a Junior Suite!
