My boyfriend and I stayed here for Valentine's Day and could not have been happier! Though we booked through a blind-booking website, we were treated no differently upon arrival. We were given a lovely room with a fantastic view. The hotel is well-situated and close to many attractions and the "T" is nearby. The staff throughout the property were professional, friendly and genuinely happy to be of service. The fitness center and pool got ravereviews from my boyfriend. I make it a point NEVER to dine in a hotel restaurant when there are so many fabulous restaurants in a city but we found ourselves hungry at 9:00 p.m. and wandered down to the on-site "Avenue One" and were so glad we did! The food was delicious (highly recommend the Tender Tips and Lobster and Crab Fondue!) and our server was so wonderful we wished he could join us for dinner. The Valentine's Day touches (candy dishes on the tables and a rose at departure) were so appreciated. The evening was the icing on the cake of a truly wonderful experience.

We had a great stay here, while visiting colleges for our daughter.
The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and very helpful! My daughter enjoyed the pool. It is a great location in downtown Boston. We were able to walk to the public transportation and there were lots of ammenities close by. We would definitely stay here when we come back to Boston.

I was in Boston on Feb 17 - 19 with my triplets touring colleges. From check-in to check-out the entire staff was 5 star. The team at the front desk was terrific and welcoming ...the servers in the restaurant were wonderful. Everyone remembered us and wanted feedback about our tours and how things were going in general. These people really cared about us and our experience. My kids and I noted that many members of the Hyatt team graduated from various Boston colleges and were more than kind to share their personal experiences with us.
We had 2 rooms 619 and 621. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. The beds and pillows were very comfy. Considering were were touring outdoors in a blizzard and then an ice storm..coming back to the Hyatt and its staff was pure heaven. Since the 6th floor is also where the health club/ pool is located I would probably ask for rooms away from the entrance to the club which is where these 2 rooms are located. We ate in the restaurant the first night and the food was good. There is no internet in the rooms but you can access it in the lobby which is modern, open and bright. The hotel is in an excellent location with easy access to transportation. Bottom line...we loved it..we'll be back

We were stuck for four days in Boston in January due to weather/flight cancellations. Ended up VERY pleased with our choice to stay at the HR-Boston. The staff was wonderful, showing interest in us far beyond the perfunctory "How are you doing?". The parking/door staff was attentive, and went out of their way to accommodate a special service request. Room was comfortable, and the lobby restaurant is certainly up to standard.

I wish that I had written this before but despite some more recent travels, the night I spent at the Hyatt Regency is rather...fresh. I must admit that little could diminish a wonderful evening with friends in Boston where there were many firework displays, first on the Commons and then in the harbor. Still, leave it to a rather unpolished front desk agent to start things off terribly.

GOOD: The location is rather perfect as it is near the metro stops as well as the Commons.
The quality of sleep was rather good and the bed was comfy. The bathroom and amenities were typical Hyatt. Room was also typically spacious which cannot be said to be true of many hotels in Boston,

BAD: The cleanliness of the room could be improved. I opened what used to be cabinet for the fridge and freaked out when their was a cut out and tons of dust bunnies- like cotton puffs of dust that was thick like material. Left it open so that housekeeping could see it. That was not a huge problem for me but if I ha allergies, I would ask to move.

UGLY: Front desk check-in.

The Hyatt had special security restrictions which were understandable. I had received notice that the security was so tight that I would have to wear a special bracelet and so would any guests. Loss of the wristband would incur a penalty? Seriously? One would also have to put down the names of all guests that may want to go up to your room. This defeated my point of being downtown in case my friends got cold and we could pop in to warm up. This was annoying and less than welcoming. Also, putting their names down seemed premature and oddly personal and intrusive.
Worse was Emily, the employee that checked me in. Her attempts at what she later called "small talk" showed social awkwardness at best, or perhaps ignorance. She questioned me with "Did you come from Florida?'. I was perplexed but I had given an out of state ID but I have no clue as to why she continued byu asking me where I had just come from. I have a heavy snow coat on for one of this winter's worst snowstorms and she failed to use her senses as well as her eyes. I
have heard this once before in a Hyatt in Florida and I hope that Hyatt learns that scripting employees with examples of considerate questions would not be a bad idea. Emily needs a script if that fails, training to learn how to apologize.-pretty simple.

The hotel is really nice. Has a large room and all of the people working in the hotel are extremely helpful and always asking if they can help you. The room was clean and neat. I had a regular king size room and had a lot of space in the room. The only complaint was I was over charged two days for valet parking. It was an annoyance as it happened again after I complained about it. Joseph sparr I believe was the managers name and took care of the problem and was a really nice manager.

From the moment we pulled up to the moment we checked out the staff was friendly and helpful. Our 8 year old loved the special attention paid to him by the staff and the welcome gift. He thought it was the best hotel we've ever stayed in. We walked almost everywhere or took the subway. Would definitely stay here again.
