Great service, clean, convenient location. Easy walk into downtown area and adjacentent to Chinatown. Was a bit noisy - Could hear people in halls. BUT, why charge for basic internet and why minibar instead of fridge?

Good location. Very friendly staff who were helpful with directions, suggestions, etc. Rooms were clean and in good condition and up to date. They even accomodated our request for adjoining rooms. Indoor pool was fun for the kids.

We stayed at the Hyatt Regency Boston from Nov 19-22nd. The location of the hotel is very good with some decent shopping in the area and Boston commons a mere 5 minute walk. We did not eat anything in the area but there are a few options and also a drugstore very near by.

We were put up in room on the 6th floor that was very dated. I asked for a room on a higher floor but was told the hotel was full and we could not be accommodated. Our room did not have a bar fridge but according to other reviews this did not matter as we would have been billed if we tried to use it for personal storage (which is the only reason we'd use it) anyways. The windows in our room were a little drafty and when we turned the heat down the room cooled quickly. This was fine for us as we like a cool room to sleep but I'm not sure how it would be in the room if it were very cold outside.

No free internet was a nuisance as we were forced to use a roaming plan on our cell phones to ascertain any info we needed.

This hotel is set up for business travelers. We did not have our kids with us and would not stay at this property if we did.

Staff were friendly and when we were leaving we rode in the elevator and had our bags tended on by Willie. It was our last contact with hotel staff and by far our most pleasant. Willie was a very nice and funny guy who made us feel very comfortable upon our departure. He is truly an asset to the team at this Hyatt Regency. Thanks and all the best Willie.

Overall a decent stay but we would not return to this property.

This hotel is in an area that is in the theater district and near Chinatown. The service is quite good but the rooms are tired and worn. At lead tours was. We were upgraded to a Lafayette suite which was nice but the furniture looked like something out of the late 80's with scratches and carpet that was bunched up. We could not keep the room warm enough even though there were two controls that were set on 80. The bathroom was a big disappointment with a tub and shower right out of the 80's. Although we fixed the shower curtain properly, water spilled over to the floor no matter what we did. Finally the lighting in the bathroom was horribly inadequate. We turned on one of the two large screen TV's on only to find not a digital channel to be had just fuzzy analog channels. Why offer these nice TV's without any digital channels? The coffee maker was one of those flimsy one use drip things that makes you wonder why hotels think their guests like these machines or the coffee they produce. There was a big warning sign outside the minibar about being charged for even moving an item but the minibar was completely empty. A few good things, the bed was comfortable and the wifi free. Every employee we had interaction with was very friendly and welcoming. I also want to say that the gym was inadequate in terms of the machines.

We stayed after finding a deal on Trivargo.com.

We had a 17th floor king size room and enjoyed the long mornings there, great views and very good service at check in and concierge.

It is central, near theaterland and close to Chinatown.

Only flaws are that there are odd street level to lobby then lobby to rooms lifts. Also wifi charged in rooms but free in lobby.

Got a 60% off price by bidding at priceline.com for this 4-star hotel located one block from
"Park street" subway (T) station-excellent deal! Clean and pleasant room and bathroom, comfortable beds, unusual entrance hall. The only small issue is the "shady" characters on the streets near the hotel during late evenings - not dangerous though. Didn't check the restaurant, but was surprised by early closing time for the bar. Breakfast is not included. The hotel has a very diverse mix of guests. Very expensive parking, but maybe standard for Boston.
Very good experience overall.

I've stayed here twice, both times on points so can't comment on value. The first time we got one of the suite style rooms which was particularly nice, but the regular rooms are nice too. Very nice staff. Some good views depending on which way your room faces. Great location for theater going and also Chinatown. It can be noisy - even on the 20th floor, but that seems typical for being right in the heart of the city. We ordered room service breakfast which was pretty good and came quickly.
