Ideally located to almost everything. No reason to stay next to the convention center when you can take a nice 1 mile walk and save $75+ a night. Enough equipment to get a good exercise in and the indoor pool & steam room was a big plus. Locker room was clean and well appointed. Room was perfect. Staff could not be any more helpful. Would have like to see a "business center" or free public computer to use but no big deal. I will be back in Novemeber! Thanks

Phillips It is great to hear your enthusiasm for the Hyatt Regency Boston! You made an excellent point about staying in Boston for a convention; not only is this a more affordable option but we generally have much better availability during city-wide events. On top of that, we are in a great location to spend your free time. I also prefer the simple walk to the BCEC but for most large conventions, shuttle service runs from the hotel on a regular schedule.

On a side note, we do in fact have a business center, accessible 24 hours a day. On top of that, you can use our touch-screen concierge boards for information and of course, we've got our expert Concierge team here every day to provide top-notch service.

We look forward to seeing you again in November!

I performed at this hotel for a wedding ceremony & reception in the Thomas Jefferson Ballroom. It was very high-class. The valet parking was fast & courteous, the food was great, and the hotel oozed of class! The prices were very reasonable for it's convenient location in downtown Boston. The view from the rooftop area was remarkable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Boston.

Hyatt Regency, Boston
We stayed at this hotel as members of a Fall Tour.
The hotel was some distance from the Boston T subway station and was having its reception area reconstructed at the time of our visit.
The concierge service dealt admirably with the distraction in difficult circumstances but the temporary Reception Desk was poor with a lot of delay taking place through outside telephone calls and queue jumping, even after being told.
We had a poor evening meal independent of the tour and a breakfast as part of the tour which was acceptable.
A clean room was provided on the 6th floor with no view.

Thank you for offering feedback on your stay last fall at the Hyatt Regency Boston. Thankfully, with the arrival of 2013 came the completion of our renovations to both lobby areas. It is patient people like you that allowed us to undergo such a massive makeover and we truly appreciate it!

I am sorry to hear that your dinner was subpar. Avenue One has an ever-improving menu that we are very proud of, not to mention 24-hour room service as well. Then again, we are only steps away from some outstanding dining options in downtown Boston.

I know it's a long way from home but we hope you'll come back and see the finished product!

I stayed here on a recent business trip, my second stay in recent years. The hotel is well situated for the business I had to conduct. The lobby is above street level and includes a restaurant where I had a business dinner and breakfast. Service was attentive if not highly skilled and the food was good. As to the room the bed was comfortable, the pillow was good and my wake-up call came on time. I couldn't get the room cool enough to sleep comfortable and one of my travelling companions had the same problem. The room was typical for a hotel of this age, designed for solo business travelers, well-furnished with a very small bathroom. The common areas were fine except the elevators I saw were all very beaten up and battle scarred. Overall, nothing particularly special but I would stay here again.

Thank you very much for the comprehensive review of your stay at the Hyatt Regency Boston. We know that so many others like you have a busy schedule when travelling for work. For this reason, our goal is to create an atmosphere like that of a "home away from home."

Our staff is eager to please and is on the clock 24/7 so please, don't hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make you as comfortable as possible.

On a separate note, I want to let you know that replacing our elevators is one of the major projects we'll be starting soon in a continued effort to provide top notch accommodations.

Location is perfect for walking to many attractions and also Boston South Station (trains and buses) and very close to Chinatown for food and grocery. They gave us a room on the 8th Floor facing East with a view of Boston City. The room is basic and spacious with 2 beds, minibar, and a large LCD TV. There’s no HD TV channels and not too many analog channels that’s subpar for a Hyatt Hotel. In room coffee was good quality but only one cup regular and one cup decaf, that’s subpar again for a 4 star hotel. Room was comfortable and quiet. However, sometimes we could hear our neighbors flushing their toilets and using their showers. Good thing they didn’t use the toilet that much during the night. We had a good night sleep anyway. Lobby was like brand new with modern décor and on the 3rd Floor. You need to take 2 different elevators, first from the street level (only one entrance on Lafayette) to 3rd floor and take another elevator on the other side of the building passing receptions and the fancy lobby. Swimming pool and gym were very modern and very good size and can be accessed from the 6th floor (long walk with stairs though). Free Wi-Fi internet access in the lobby area. In room Wi-Fi charges $9.95 per day. Internet speed was very fast and stable. Macy’s is right next door. There is a CVS and 7-11 around the corner (on Chauncy Street) for your convenience. Over all a good value for the price we paid and we would recommend Hyatt Regency for downtown Boston area.

Room Tip: High floor facing West or South will be better rooms.

Thank you very much for providing other readers with such an excellent description of our property here in Boston! I'm glad to hear you were able to take advantage of so many of our amenities while also enjoying the offerings of the surrounding area.

It's also nice to know that you think highly of our "brand new" lobby. We just finished the renovation of all our public and meeting spaces so it is very rewarding for that not to go unnoticed!
