The Hyatt is a beautiful hotel. Very clean, very upscale, very nice. Fitting into the great era of modern classy hotels. The rooms are updated and spacious. The amenities seem plentiful. But a few things stick out which are missing or off.
1. No safe in the room. No matter what chain the hotel, having safe in the room is essential. Since the cleaning staff is still composed of humans, you can't assume they are all honest.
2. Hyatt acknowledges that humans are dishonest with the lack of a usable fridge. Instead, there is a bar fridge, ready to charge you for your first born of you touch anything. You can pay for a fridge though. While I understand not everyone may need a fridge, I think providing one should be a non issue.
3. The bathrooms have no fans. Mold issues in the future aside, it makes it tough to see the mirror after a shower.
4. The beautiful modern TVs with crap Lodgenet remote and lack of channels.
5. The overpriced restaurant. The food is good, but overpriced. If you are traveling for work, you can blow your per diem in 1 1/2 meals.
6. The wifi does not like you to connect multiple devices. Or something with browser cookies. Can't tell. But it's finicky.

The beds are very comfortable. I slept like a baby. Despite my minor annoyances, I would love to stay here again.

Comfortable beds, pretty decent size rooms, really good breakfast, in general it was very good. The only thing I would comment on would be the concierge level. It looks dated and is completely different from the lobby level. On the other hand, you would always have to wait for the concierge to assist you, which if you are in a hurry it's quite troubling.

I have stayed in many Hyatts around the world and this is not going to be a favourite. Although the rooms and corridors seem refurbished, the building feels old, notably the elevators. I overheard guests using words like "mediocre" and that about sums it up. Boston is expensive (I don't know why), but the price I am paying seems a lot for what comes out as a 3.5 star property. Also, I find hotel policies rather petty. The mini-bar / fridge has a prominent warning to tell the guest that a) if you store your own food in it, you qualify for a $25 cleaning charge!, b) if you so much as touch a bottle inside the fridge, let alone move it elsewhere, then you pay as if you had consumed it. If you need a fridge (e.g. for medicines) then you have to ask for a separate one. So, if you had been planning to avoid the overpriced breakfast and eat from supermarkets, use the ice-bucket as a mobile fridge - at least the ice is still free! Pettiness of this kind I have never experienced any where in the world (total of over 60 countries to date) and it does not encourage my loyalty.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with an ice bucket!

We parked our car and didn't more it for 3 days. This hotel is clean and quiet i read a few previous reviews and I'm not sure what they were complaining about. It is close to Boston Commons, near Quincy Market and many other sites. We did not eat at the hotel because we were looking for a more local flavor. Also in the theater district and near Washington street which closes as a pedestrian street which as many shops and restaurants. I found the price of the hotel to be in line with others.when we go back will def think about staying here again.

We booked our 5 day stay through Priceline. The package included a free breakfast. However when we inquired front desk person [Norman] said was not included. Showed him printed confirmation, said he would check, sorry that I was under the impression we would receive the breakfast. Not an impression, since it stated the information on the print out. Asked him to email me his findings. He never did, last day asked him why I had not received a response. He giggled said it was Priceline's error Hyatt had not authorized it. Offered no reason for not contacting us. Other than that nice rooms, great housekeeping service & other staff. Central to seeing Boston.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your recent stay with us. We truly value input from our guests. On behalf of the hotel management, I apologize for the miscommunication and lack of follow up that you experienced during your stay. We have had a few reservations recently where the incorrect information was showing on Priceline's website, and our marketing staff is working towards getting this corrected. It is certainly not your fault that you were provided incorrect information, and I apologize that the agent never followed up with you regarding this matter. Thank you for choosing the Hyatt Regency Boston, and we hope to welcome you back in the near future!

We had a great stay and the friendliest service! We arrived on an airplane to Boston really early but the Hyatt had one room for us to check into, which was so nice and generous of them. They lent us great umbrellas for the day and asked if we needed any information, recommendations or directions. Our room was very clean and comfortable and very roomy for a city hotel. We ate a late night dinner in the hotel--the atmosphere was comfortable and the food was pretty good. After we checked out, the Hyatt stored our luggage for us until we were ready to leave. We travel a lot and found this hotel to be wonderful.
One more positive note: I left my phone behind, the Hyatt called me and they were packing it up to mail while we were on the phone together!
