Clean,friendly hotel in excellent location

Hotel is original Brownstone on bustling Newbury St in Back Bay Area. Conventially located between 2 easily walkable subway stops. Full breakfast included which is served in attached restaurant. Excellent French restaurant next door! Asked for room in back so noise was not an issue. Staff helpful. Do need to reserve parking spot if bringing a car-$20/night. Hotel stored our luggage as we had late flight. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent value!

Room tip: Rooms in back are quieter than those fronting Newbury St

Back Bay B&B

The Newbury Guest House, what a befitting name. From the moment you are greeted you feel like a guest in someone's home.

A Bed & Breakfast in the heart of back bay; who would have thought. The lobby area is quaint, the rooms are more than satisfactory, and the hospitality makes the experience.

With a location like this, and the fantastic price- The Newbury Guest House can't be beat!

Long weekend

We stayed at the Newbury Guest House Sunday-Tuesday. We arrived early on Sunday and were lucky enough to check in about an hour early giving us a head start on our long weekend. The staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and just right for a couple days stay. We had a room in front and even though the street was busy it was not noisy. There is a $20 a night fee to park in their lot, totally fair for being in Boston. It was nice to not have to worry about moving our vehicle or paying an outrageous lot price. Breakfast was included each day, which is really nice to not have to rush out of the hotel right away if you're hungry when you get up. There is a T stop just a couple blocks away that made getting around very easy. We were on and off a few times a day, so buying the $12 day pass was worth it. We also went to a Celtic's game at TD garden, the ride is only about 15 mins from Copley to North Station, very convenient. Overall we were very happy with our stay and glad we found and stayed at the Newbury Guest House!!

Room tip: Front room (203) was on the street, we did not find it noisy.

Best accomodation

I have stayed at the Newbury Guesthouse many times and this last visit was by far the most enjoyable, thanks to Eddie. The manager Raymond was also warm and welcoming, as were the housekeepers and owner. This the only accommodation that I stay at when visiting Boston and look forward to my next visit.

The Best of Everything!

1st - Customer Service - Mary,Eddie, & Amelia - Mary found a room & parking for me even with a convention in town (Thanks Mary). Eddie was on duty upon check in & departure. He's the best of the best! Professional, courteous, helpful, and just plain nice. He gave me directions, , Told me about the free breakfast & a 25% off coupon for the adjacent bistro "The Roost" (the fish tacos for lunch were very good). Amelia was there with Eddie & when he left. When I found out my door wouldn't lock, she upgraded me at no additional charge. Thanks Amelia, a true professional with a smile :0).
2nd - Room & location - The room was clean and comfortable. The location of the Guest House (seems like a restored Brownstone) was perfect for the convention I was at Shape America. I walked to the Hynes and Prudential center, received a massage from Rainbow Health down the street and was able to go to the Cheesecake Factory for supper.

I would highly recommend staying at Newbury Guest House. The price beats anythig in the area, there's a variety of places to eat within walking distance, and if needed the T isn't far if you want to venture out. Nice job everyone at the Newbury Guest House - you're all top notch in my book :0).

Room tip: Back bedrooms are probably quieter than front.
