This was our 3rd trip to Boston. We had stayed in the Financial District and the Seaport District during our previous trips, so we tried a new area of town. The location is great! There are restaurants, sites and shopping all around. A short 1.5/2 block walk gets you to a T stop, which pretty much makes the entire city available to you. We were greeted by a friendly staff member that promptly checked us into our room. The decor is modern/contemporary although the rooms are small. We had a great room, that met all of our needs and had no problems with the room being smaller; it is a boutique hotel. Just FYI, there is construction outside one side of the hotel; looked like a parking deck was being torn down. It was quite loud, but it was only during the day. So if you would like an afternoon nap, then you might be disturbed; otherwise you will sleep easy! I would recommend this hotel as a great place to stay with a lot of available amenities.

This is an exceptionally friendly, cosy hotel with superb facilitates. The foods not bad either! A great base to explore Boston which is a totally at home place to visit. Try Bunker Hill monument it will give you an appetite and the views are wonderful, just 295 steps top the top.

Room Tip: go for the cheap $10 upgrade its worth it

On our first visit to Boston,we were looking for somewhere centrally located. You can't do much better than the Copley Square Hotel, we were within walking distance to the Prudential Centre, Newbury Street and the T station. The staff were really accomodating and friendly, and went the extra mile for us. I would definately return and may be back again for Paddys day next year!

This was our 2nd time at the Copley Square Area (both times we had ended up here after using Priceline). The hotel only has 7 floors and it is surrounded by a lot of taller structures but isn't overshadowed by them. It is in a prime location with easy access to shopping with Copley Place and the Prudential Center nearby, easy access also to the T and also the Mass Pike although to get the hotel from the Pike requires several daring merges and turns.

Rooms are on the small side but well furnished and appear to have been remodeled recently.
There is a restaurant and nightclub on site but thankfully, the noise from nightclub doesn't permeate make it past the lobby.

We would stay here again. Reception staff was helpful and courteous. Valet service was prompt.

Room Tip: If you want a view, try to get a room facing Huntington Avenue or Exeter Street but beware, the stre...

Arrived at the hotel waited patiently as the one desk person was checking in another guest. Then was kindly cut by the bellman with another guest. I was a little perturbed and expressed my feeling ever so lightly with a "I thought I was next?". To my amazement a simple sorry and another wait in line for the one desk. Granted I arrived at the hotel at 4:00pm. Is that a peak checkin time?
Gets better... No double beds as requested... But they do have a suite for $100 extra. Oh well with a family of four why not. We get in the one elevator that is claustrophobic, as the other elevator hardly ever came while we were there... But we arrived in the room and there is a bedroom with one king bed and a pullout sofa. A lot of closet space and a nice sized bathroom... Hold on this is a handicapped room with no bathtub. Thank you for telling me that...

Overall. As you can see not a great experience. This is a boutique hotel that feels like a converted brownstone. Not worth the price. Better to stay at the Marriott right across the street for less. They also charge $42 for parking.... No thanks... For the price I paid you would think this would be a four or five star hotel... Wait a minute it is... Mould have fooled me...

So not happy with the stay for the price and comfort. I don't know what the others think, but honestly folks. It only takes one bad experience. I travel a lot and this was probably the worst service for a top end hotel.

Read on if you want for dining.

Had breakfast at x hale which is their only restaurant. Got there at 8am and was seated promptly. That's where it ends. Three separate people came by and asked for coffee and finally after the fourth person got my first cup. Finally placed the order and food came late as expected. So during the course of the meal we saw the waiter once when we sat, once for the food and another for the bill. No refill on coffee... We couldn't find him.

Thank you very much for posting a review of your experience with us. Certainly not what we like to hear nor the type of stay one can normally expect when staying with us, as noted by the majority of the almost 500 reviews posted on this site. Nevertheless, please accept our apologies for the service lapses that you experienced and your comments, minus some snide comments, will be used as a training tool for our team so we can do a better job of meeting and exceeding our guests’ expectations.

As your reservation was made through Priceline and not directly through the hotel, there was no mention or request for a room with two beds- something you may want to address with Priceline. In fact, the rooms we give to Priceline to sell are all in our Boutique category and can accommodate only two people, which they are suppose to communicate to the buyer. As we did not have rooms with two beds available, usually a $50 premium to the Boutique room, we offered our only Suite but we absolutely should have made you aware of the bathroom being handicapped accessible and its bedding configuration. We don’t promote all rooms having tubs, in fact over 30% of our rooms have shower stalls, so my apologies to you for that misconception. I have spoken to the Bellman, who was approached by a guest with a request for directions and he needed to Google them…your comments prompted a great conversation on how we can better assist our guests and he joins me in offering his apologies if you felt slighted in any way.

The Marriott is a great hotel and takes great care of their customers but a completely different experience. Not sure I understand the ‘converted brownstone’ reference but we are a contemporary hotel that has embraced bits and pieces of its 120 year old history and incorporates Historical Boston into intertwines some Boston history and that is not the Marriott. As for the valet parking, while we are not the least expensive, we certainly are not the most expensive…and the Marriott charges $46.

I will share your comments with our F&B team as well. It is unacceptable that we do not take care of a guest request the first time, much less the second or third. We will work with our team as we have obviously failed in our training efforts, and ensure this does not reoccur.

Thank you again for sharing your experience. I understand your frustration and we will work that much harder to improve our service delivery. While we wish we could have addressed the issues prior to you leaving, we do appreciate you sharing them as it is important for us to know what transpired.

I visit Boston a few times a year, having lived there some years back, for business and also to visit friends. The staff remember you and your preferences, and everyone makes you feel at home. The location is second to none, right in the heart of the Back Bay for shopping or nightlife or business. The rooms are all different shapes and sizes, so every visit is a new and fun experience. Wifi is free, the gym is well equipped, the food is excellent (the Kobe mini-burgers at Minibar are my favorite). It not only ticks the boxes, however: it is really the welcoming and fun atmosphere from the staff that makes this a special place to stay.

This is the second time we stay at this Boutique Hôtel. The location is perfect and close to Newburry street, where you can do a lot of shopping. When we arrive, the reception was warm, very professional and with a lot of attention. We would like to say a great "merci" to Ana for her nice and great kindness, availability, professionalism and her french conversation. Rooms are spacious and confortables. The bathroom need to be refresh and is not acceptable in this kind of hôtel. We realy appreciate the Wine tasting offer by the hôtel in the lobby and every night for the happy hour. You can find a very nice bistro....but the food is terrible. The manager should make some effort in this café.
