I went to Boston in February with the family to look at colleges. This is a great location and in bad weather you don't have to worry just take the enclosed walkway to the mall.
Very friendly, hilarious doorman , excellent concierge helped with our activities. Short walk to Newbury street for dinner.

This hotel is very well situated in Back Bay. We were there immediately after the terrorist bombings (the Marriott is about 3 blocks from the bombing sites). They handled the lockdown in a very professional way. I did not mind the bag inspection or requirement to show a room key.
Our room was very clean and roomy. There was always prompt cab service. My only complaint - why charge for WIFI? It is free most places.

I stayed here for two nights for a convention in room 1117. The service during the convention was very good, check in and check out service was great, and overall everything was good. However, the sound insulation was terrible. I could hear every word the people in the next room said, which made it very difficult to sleep. For $249+ per night, I would expect more.

Was here for three days for a conference. Room was very clean and comfortable with an incredible bed. View of the city and harbor was great. Good restaurants on site including a Starbucks. Highly recommended.

The Boston Marriott at Copley Place is ideally located for conferences at the Hynes Centre or work at the Public Library (and the shopping at the large upscale malls with which is interconnected. Unfortunately the reasons to stay in this hotel seem to stop here. The staff and management make little to add value to its location. The standard rooms are quite small and it was not possible to get a room at a higher floor. The conditions of the room were poor with rusty windows and a stained carpet. The air conditioning was very noisy even when switched off because the room hosed a compressor or air duct serving the other rooms. This caused noise for the whole nights. Complained to the front desk without any effect. Internet is charged extra. Neither wireless nor the cable worked and I had to call support. Once connected, I never experienced so many disconnection on the wireless network at an hotel. When I complained I was told that for optimal service I should have chosen the more expensive premium internet package ! The hotel restaurants are very noisy and the local Starbuck's is used also by local commuters resulting in long queues (better to use the two Starbuck's located in the nearby malls or the Au Bon Pain next to the Westin serving excellent croissants). Check in took over twenty minutes spent partly in queue (a hotel with 1700 rooms should have more than two persons at the front desk) and in part at the desk because the person had to go to the rear office at whatever operation she was trying to do. When asked the concierge for a post office nearby I got a bored reply to look in the shopping mall directory (and yes, there is one at the Prudential Center). Left just in time before the marathon. Given the concentration of the hotels in the neighborhood there may be better choices.

Stayed a couple nights here and the place was full with world skating championships being held in the city. Check in was very quick and efficient, no waiting. We requested a high floor and we were given the 37th floor, the second highest. The high floor have 4 separate lifts to get to the rooms and the waiting time for these can be a few minutes during busy periods.

The room was a disabled room but that meant it was a corner room & very spacious overlooking the river towards the airport. The beds were comfy and the room had a coffee maker. Used the gym one morning and there is plenty of equipment which looks well maintained.
The only negative was no fridge and no Wi-Fi in the room. There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby, so the lobby was always full with people using the internet. Two computer stations are also in the lobby which can be used to print out boarding passes, which is always handy.
Across the road is a big supermarket, Shaw’s, and a mall which has The Cheesecake Factory and a small food court. The closest T station is also located here and very quick into Boston Common.
Overall very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again

I stayed at this beautiful property during the week of the bombing in Boston. This hotel was right in the heart of the activity, the security and staff were amazing at making everyone feel safe. The city was under lock down and nothing was open excet for hotel restaurants for the attendees of several coventions, the staff stayed all hours to accomodate each guest no matter what the needs were. I was very impressed.

Room Tip: I was on the 18th floor in a corner room, beautiful view of back bay and city, room 1804
