first time ever in boston and loved it. stayed for two nights. hotel was very clean, great location within walking distance to alot of sites. air conditioning/heat was very quiet. there is a mini fridge and food / liquor store (shaws) is just across the street. people were very firendly and helpful. we walked, took cabs (they are all over) and found the subway clean and easy to use. lots to do in boston, wished we had one more day but will definetly go back.

I love this hotel! I requested to stay in the same room as I had my last stay that was about 4 years ago and they came through! I was very happy about that because it looked like a long shot. They totally made over the whole hotel. I have to say I preferred how it was my last stay better. The doors to the room use to be solid thick oak doors. Very sturdy and sound proof. They closed very slowly too so there was no door slamming going on plus you couldn't hear what was going on in the hallway outside. Well now the doors are made of metal and leave at least an inch gap at the bottom of the door so sound comes in no problem and the doors slam now. They use to have a double table in the room too that had wheels so I could roll it in front of the TV and eat my room service off of. But the table is no longer a double and it doesn't roll. So now there's no where to put your tray to watch TV. I put my tray on the luggage stand but you're still hunched over because it's kind of low. The gift shop use to be big and have a bunch of cute stuff in it. Now it's 1/2 the size and has become in my opinion very upscale, not too much to choose from. Champions restaurant use to be its own seperate identity building now it's right out in the open and you have to pass by it to get out of the hotel, it's noisy. I perfer when it wasn't out in the open. But all these things are minor. I still LOVE the hotel! The room service is completely outstanding!!! I couldn't fit in my jeans when I got back home even though I did a lot of walking everyday. The food has got to come from a 5 star restaurant and even though they say the food could take a 1/2 hour to arrive it never took more then 15 minutes. The staff was very curtious except for 1 very sacrastic women. But everyone else made up for her. Love how if you need a cab you just step out of the hotel and a bellhop blows a whistle and a cab pulls up. The bellhop opens the cab door for you, tells the cabby where your going and closes your door for you. You feel like a queen. What service! Rooms where very clean. I couldn't find dust. All staff gave you a genuine smile and really want to accomodate you. One time I even ordered the wrong thing on the menu for room service not knowing they had the same thing served 2 different ways. When I saw what it was I called and said "charge me for this but I really wanted that". They brought me what I wanted fast and didn't charge me for it. Now that's service! I will be back at the Copley Place Marriott when Boston calls me again! Hopefully I'll be able to get the same room again! : )

Room Tip: Get a room on a very high level floor and get a water view room. Say you want a quiet room.

I stayed at the Boston Marriott Copley Place in September 2012 when attending a conference. I requested a high room hoping to get some views of the river and was given one on the 38th floor - the top one!

I had incredible views of the Back Bay and the river from my room that were just as beautiful during the day as they were at night. The room was very big (for a European visitor anyways) and the bed was one of the nicest ones I've had at hotels.

The location of the hotel is very convenient for visitting the area and you are just an easy walk away from the shopping streets and the river side. Taling about shopping, the hotel is connected by a glass corridor to a huge shopping center that includes some excellent restaurants (Legal Sea Foods). This will probably be very convenient in winter but even with good weather it makes it very easy to access the shops. The Starbucks at the 2nd floor also comes very handy.

The floor 38 hadn't had a renovation in quite some time so the room and corridors looked a bit dated. Also the general cleaning state of the room (walls, carpets) reflected this. Nevertheless I would go back to the high floor and having dedicated elevators for the highest floors made the stay up there quite convenient.

Room Tip: Asked for a high room and was given one at the 38th floor with increadible views of the river adn th...

I am here for 2 weeks for work training and it here is my review. Perfect location! Right downtown, attached to a very nice mall (gf visited over the weekend and loved the high-end shopping), great location for great running paths, great scenery, and excellent restaurants.
Only disappointment is that there is no spa here, but luckily, the mandarin oriental is right around the corner!

The room is decent, nice view of the city & river. Mini-Fridge, nice bathroom, big desk, nice tv, only 3 drawers, good closet. Full width wall window gave awesome view!

Meeting rooms are huge, elevators are very effective, especially because there was never a wait and 300+ people in our meeting. Oh yeah, room service food was great, but way too expensive! I got a burger and fries, and 2 pint size sodas- bill was over $30! I wish they told me the mini sodas were gonna be $5.00 each! Rediculas! High speed Internet is $19.00 per day, iPhone FaceTime was choppy at times.

We stayed here for 3 nights in September. very large modern hotel, great location, you can walk straight into the shopping mall with loads of shops and a large food court with lots of choice for a quick lunch. The room was for 3 people and very spacious, very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. We used the swimming pool and the jacuzzi which was nice after walking all day sightseeing! reception staff were very helpful. We found it easy to get around Boston from this hotel. really enjoyed and would stay again.

We stayed at the Boston Marriott Copley Place as part of a New England tour. This is the perfect place to stay if you don't know Boston and want to get around easily. You can walk to restaurants and the Shops at the Prudential Center and Copley Place. The concierge staff knew which restaurants to go to, which tours were the best and how to access the subway to get anywhere in Boston.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Charles River.

I visited whilst attending a conference for four nights. While the rooms were excellent, the public bars and lounges were unpleasant and noisy. We experienced very poor service in one although other staff were helpful. The price of the hotel, even with a discount, was very high and the failure to provide adequate internet, a rip-off, even if typical for such chains. There was no sense of style or quality about the place. Avoid if you can.
