Sometimes I find it helpful to read reviews from UK travellers. We spent 6 days in the Marriott and could not fault it in any way. Very comfortable. Free Wifi in the lounge area where there was a relaxed atmosphere. We popped in to Starbucks for coffee or breakfast and sat in the lounge with our purchases. For families on a budget the food court in the adjoining mall offered a good choice for inexpensive breakfasts. California pizza at the beginning of the mall, 2 mins walk from the hotel offered amazing pastas and salads at reasonable prices. Everywhere is within easy reach and the metro is across the road for longer journeys although we managed to walk everywhere on foot apart from Harvard. Newbury street close by is great in the evening, very pretty and lively.Enjoy.

Recently stayed here on a 1 night business trip and felt it was a very standard Marriott. While clean, updated and comfortable, it lacked certain items that separate good from great.

While the room on the 29th floor had a nice view and was spacious, there was no vending machine on the floor. And for some reason, you had to badge to this floor - but not to the floors above or below.

There is no mini fridge in the room, which was a disappointment. And the door to the bathroom was within a centimeter from hitting the toilet when you opened/closed it.

Conference rooms have adequate staff and oversight. Decor is standard.

Location here is terrific - really the only memorable feature of the hotel. I didn't venture into the mall, but thought that the fact it was attached to one was cool.

Because of the location, would consider staying again.

This Marriott is full of hustle and bustle, with lots of international travelers. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The view from the 30th floor included the historic Back Bay, the harbor and in the distant, jets landing at Logan Airport. The hotel is connected to Copley Place and the Prudential Center so in inclement weather, you can stay inside with lots of shops and restaurants. I found it to be less than quiet in the room and could easily here other guests coming and going through the evening.

Room Tip: Try a room away from the elevator banks for additional quiet.

Stayed for 4 nights on a trip to see New England in the Fall. Great views from the high floors, food in Champions bar is good value and quality. I can't understand why the concierge lounge is not open weekends.

Room Tip: High floors with view of Charles river are best

This is really not my type of hotel - huge, boring, impersonal, blunt, business-like - but there are a lot of good things to say. The gym is great, which is really important! And there are several great yogastudios nearby, which is even better. The location is perfect and there is a large grocery store across the street, which means you can buy your own breakfast, etc. All in all, for being a type of a hotel I don't really like, it is absolutely perfect! And Boston is of course a wonderful city!

My wife and I stayed here for one night for a families wedding that took place at the Boston Library. The hotel is in a great location. It is right next to Copley Square, within walking distance to a lot of great shops and the T (subway) is very close so you can get anywhere in Boston. The hotel is also attached to the mall, so shopping is absolutely abundant here. The hotel was very modern, clean and spacious. The room was very large and a very good value.

This was our second visit to this hotel. And, once again, we were very satisfied. The staff is friendly and attentive. The room was very clean with many amentities. For some reason, our wake up call did not ring. The hotel was aware of it, so someone came up and knocked on our door to be sure we were awake. And, the location in the Back Bay is just perfect.
