“Not my type of hotel”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

This is really not my type of hotel - huge, boring, impersonal, blunt, business-like - but there are a lot of good things to say. The gym is great, which is really important! And there are several great yogastudios nearby, which is even better. The location is perfect and there is a large grocery store across the street, which means you can buy your own breakfast, etc. All in all, for being a type of a hotel I don't really like, it is absolutely perfect! And Boston is of course a wonderful city!

My wife and I stayed here for one night for a families wedding that took place at the Boston Library. The hotel is in a great location. It is right next to Copley Square, within walking distance to a lot of great shops and the T (subway) is very close so you can get anywhere in Boston. The hotel is also attached to the mall, so shopping is absolutely abundant here. The hotel was very modern, clean and spacious. The room was very large and a very good value.

This was our second visit to this hotel. And, once again, we were very satisfied. The staff is friendly and attentive. The room was very clean with many amentities. For some reason, our wake up call did not ring. The hotel was aware of it, so someone came up and knocked on our door to be sure we were awake. And, the location in the Back Bay is just perfect.

This hotel is in one best locations in Boston unfortunately its dated and subpar. We were rushed at the the check-in were never told that there will be $20 a night fee for a roll away bed. They took the charge off after I complained frankly it was waived because I’m a platinum member at Marriott. I also noticed the room service dishes were sitting outside of the rooms for hours. My greatest concern was with the pool water that was absolutely disgusting the Gym is one the best I’ve seen at a Marriott. If you are planning to stay at a full Marriott in Boston try to the Long Whorf

Room Tip: there is a $20 charge for roll away beds. higher floors have a great view

Really good hotel in the heart of the city close to newbury and the back bay. near enough to a T station you can get anywhere. Champions bar/restaurant is a nice spot to watch a game and have a bite to eat. The rooms are nice some face the city and some face the water. Certainly check for deals on the web because this place isnt cheap

Stayed here with friends last October, and I can't believe I never reviewed this place! The rooms were huge, and the service fabulous! And you can't beat the location!! Great nights sleep, which is always very important to me. I'd come back!

Stayed at the Back Bay Hotel. Good location. Very Close to shopping at the Prudential Bldg Mall. Smaller hotel with nice bar and restaraunt. Very friendly staff. Room is a bit small but comfortable and updated. Free Starbucks coffee in the morning.
