The old headstones are fascinating. And it's a good place to actually gain some strategic insight into some Revolutionary War events. It's a good place to stop on the Freedom Trail. Just before the big hike to Charlestown. The big garage facing the cemetery on the corner of Hull and Commercial Sts. is the site of the infamous Brinks Robbery. The film documenting the robbery was shot at that location as well. Plenty of history there...Boston is famous for starting the Revolution and robbing banks!

This is another beautiful graveyard. Very peaceful yet creepy. The view of the north church is very cool. So historic.

They say this cemetery closes at sunset, but we were there before the sun set and it was already closed. The area was visible from the gate and looked very neat with some historic graves inside.

The best of 17th, 18th and 19th illuminaries grace these grounds. Look for the Tomb of Prince Hall of Boston fame, Robert Newell will stand out and many others. Old North Church is down the way a few steps. This is a great lesson on our history.

Finding about the tombstones pictures and who was buried there was interesting. Makes you stop and think about the past. This was the first stop on the freedom trail after leaving our hotel.
