“Great outing!”

Visiting this church was a highlight. Highly recommend the additional Crypt Tour!! You can't go wrong with a peek inside a 17th century crypt in the basement of the church.

“Historic Chapel and Hallowed Grounds”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

This mid-17th century Georgian-style brown stone chapel in Boston’s city center looks totally out of place among the area’s modern skyscrapers. Its small adjacent burying ground, a stop on the Freedom Trail, has many fascinating slate gravestones with death’s heads and other engravings. It’s Boston’s oldest cemetery. The partially sunken stones lend it an eerie atmosphere even in the full sun of a bright late summer’s day! Be sure to bring a camera.... And take care not to wander off the narrow paths or some restless Puritan ghosts may snatch you up!

“Historic, small, & concerts”
Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

This small chapel is a wonderful place. Very lovely. Go in and look around. Tours of the catacombs also available. Concerts held regularly. Ask at the front. Nominal charge for concerts, admission outside this time free but donations accepted. Very interesting tombstones in the graveyard next door.

“How Beautiful it Is!”
Reviewed January 26, 2013

Stayed at the Copley and happened to walk over there Sunday morning right before Sunday services, so no charge to go in. Wow! I've always admired the exterior of this church but first time I went in, gorgeous.

“DIFFERENT”
Reviewed January 5, 2013

An interesting historical site that is very often overlooked. Do not know how to describe otherwise - but it is well worth seeing in order to understand its historical significance.
