“A Gem in the city”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

The museum is beautiful with a very wide range of Art and it is just huge with new exhibits all the time. Art of the Ancient world is great if your kids are into Mummies, and the gem exhibit is amazing to see the detail involved. We really enjoyed the Copley exhibit where you can view every famous painting you have ever seen of famous Americans. It is very peaceful and the staff is enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Not to be missed if visiting Boston.

“World class art gallery!”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

My teenage daughter loved the Mario Testino exhibit! The gallery is not huge but very pleasant to walk through. The food in restaurant at the atrium is not very good but worth sitting for coffee. It wasn't crowded when we visited so that was a bonus. One of the better galleries I've been to in North America.

“Stunning Museum”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I liked the exhibit of arts and crafts objects under the same roof as great art. It enlightened me as to the difference between the two. Also, the cafe had decent food that wasn't overpriced.

“Very beautiful!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

This is a gorgeous place to visit and enjoy learning about art. There's a great mixture of old and modern in the interior design of the building. It has several cafeterias or restaurants where you can stop and rest. If you can't be there all day, study the floor plan and decide what you want to see.
I was very interested in the decorative arts and really enjoyed those exhibits as well as the rest of the place. We also had a lot of fun watching the geese in the outside gardens.

“You'll spend you whole day there”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

This museum has lots of things beyond painting. It's worth the visit!
It has a lot of space, so it doesn't feel crowded. Watch out for the path you choose, because it is large and it is easy to forget to visit some rooms.
