Wonderful museum in walkable setting. Strict about baggage and other items carried into the museum to protect the artwork. Review the museum's advice for viewing with children on their website.

I love spending a rainy afternoon here. Every time I go, I select different exhibits and rooms to browse, and I have never been disappointed.

It's a beautiful museum. We're members. Just FYI if you are not a member you will most likely have to wait in long lines before you get in.

The cafe in the courtyard is lovely and the Wing of the Americas one of my favorite places in the country.

Wonderful exhibit on jewelry and antique musical instruments. Easy to get lost in this place, though. Helpful guides when you do get lost.
