“History Upheld”

This burial ground is a neat sight to see. To have a chance to walk where Paul Revere, John Hancock, and Samuel Adams are buried, you feel like ou are on hollowed ground. Many of the grave stones date back to the 1700's. It is amazing to see something that has weathered the storm for over 200 years.

“The final resting place of Boston's most illustrious citizens”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 1, 2013

The Granary Burying Ground is found along the Freedom Train in Boston. There you can see the headstones of John Hancock, Samuel Adams, Peter Faneuil, Paul Revere, Ben Franklin's parents and those killed in the Boston Massacre to name a few. It is a well-marked, very old cemetery with many of the stones weathered and broken and surrounded as much of old Boston is, by big buildings. It's a reverent little spot in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

“Old Cemetery”

Really old headstones, rather small cemetery, nice to look at for about 5 minutes. It was cool that it was right in the middle of the city, but I thought Copps Hill Cemetery was better.
