It is a nice, old church with a small garden. You can enjoy the scenery along the way and take a turn to the chocolate factory where they show you how to make chocolate and you can take a treat with you.

I loved seeing the historic Old North Church. The pews with family names on them and the creaky floors make for a really cool atmosphere. It's an interesting place to see.
Take the behind the scenes tour. It includes a look at the chain bells and the crypts below the church. Very interesting to see how people worshipped in the early days. Well worth the $10.
Beautiful old church that has a 30 min talk or self guided placards in the pews that relay the stories of the people who started the revolution. There is a nominal charge to enter the church - there is a path from the front of the church to a courtyard that has a statue of Paul Revere. This in the north end, so great spot to get some shade and monch on some yummy pastries around the corner (Mike's).
If you want to do all freedom trail then you will come across this area, lot of history here in a pleasant walking area, couple slight incline but if in Boston its a must see.
Finally bought a ticket to go inside after many visits to the area. Glad I did. If you go on Sunday make sure to check the schedule as there is a service for the congregation that meets there. When a service isn't going on an interpreter gives a short talk about Paul Revere and his ride, the church itself, and answers questions. There is a gift shop next to the church and a chocolate demonstration was included with admission to the church. It is located down the alley from the gift shop. You get a small sample of the chocolate drink that the costumed guide makes and chocolate is available for purchase in the shop.
