Owner description: The signal from the steeple of Boston's oldest church triggered the War for Independence that led to the birth of America. On that fateful night in 1775, the two lanterns in the steeple told Paul Revere that the British were approaching by boat, not on foot.

“Beautiful”

Happened to make it to the Old North Church on a Sunday morning while service was in progress. Had I know they actually held services on a regular basis, I would have planned to attend. Amazing looking building inside.

“INTERESTING”

Visiting Old North Church is worth the stop if you're in the area. It's richer in historical than architectural value.

“A Must Stop on any visit to Boston”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

Learning about what happened in Boston and at this church is truly inspiring! Read about the stories of who was there the night Paul Revere rode through town and how it has changed (and stayed the same) after all of those years.

“Another Must See in Boston”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

There is a suggested $3 donation and then another $1 for a self-guided tour brochure. We enjoyed our time there. We arrived when they opened which allowed us to enjoy the space without the crowds that would descend later in the day. It is an active church. Not on this trip but on a prior one we attended a service there which was special.

“1723!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 30, 2013

Visiting the Old North Church is a step back in history! Not only does it provide insight into our country's faith in the past it makes us realize how tall we are in 2013! It is a must on the Freedom Trail!
