The Boston Public library is huge! The architecture alone makes it worthy of a visit! The library itself is very impressive! A great place to spend an hour, an afternoon, or even a day!

A gorgeous building that's definitely worth peeking in to if you're in the area. I visited first thing in the morning when they opened and was able to spend about half an hour or so exploring and photographing the building before people started to arrive. Be sure to check out the reading room on the second floor.

Our family loved this historic library way before renovations ever happened. The renovations only made the library better!

An important Boston landmark, not simply because of its ornate design, but that it was the very first public library.
Layout: When you enter from the older wing, you will note the grand design with a marble staircase, soaring ceilings, the murals, and the large reading rooms.. If you walk through the older historical portion, you will be met with the modern portion of the library with all of the current day book stacks, and children and teens library.
Overall: If you come to Boston for a visit, the library is worth a look.
